Taqueria La Carreta — Restaurant in Leyden Township

I don’t even want to give a star but I have to in order to write a review. The young lady in that picture above that works in that restaurant gave horrible service. My father, sister and I came in and sat at the big table, she approaches to the table and says it’s just you three? I said yes she immediately said with an attitude well you need to move to another table and walks away, I didn’t even have the chance to tell her my mother and brother were going to join. She was denying service because we literally would not move, the restaurant was not busy, a big party never came, that whole hour we waited for the cops, because the young lady said we can be more than free to call the cops not even one single customer even came in so she basically was being very disrespectful, unprofessional and miserable. This might be a family owned business and she might be an important role but her service makes the restaurant look very bad the service she gives will slowly make customers realize the poor knowledge and ignorance that lady has. I've been coming here for years with my family and yesterday I had the most horrible service. I actually went out of my way to go to this restaurant cause I always loved getting the nachos con guacamole. I went and picked up my order it was a list of food I ordered and got home to find they gave me guacomol e and chips. So at first I just started eating the guacamole an d chips cause I really didn't feel like driving all the way back but my family was lik e you went there for your nachos go back. So I called and told them I don't have the right order and went back when I got there the lady was so rude instead of apologizing on getting my order wrong she opened the guacamole container and said you ate some of this I was like yeah cause I really didn't want to drive all the way back here for nachos. I got nothing but rude attitude and they didn't even start making the nachos so I had to wait. They also made me pay the difference between the chips and guacamole and the nachos con guacamole when I didn't even get a receipt so I don't know if they charged me originally for it and just have me the wrong thing. I know exactly how Mike M feels. The only thing you got wrong was the chips, they are not store bought, they are made "fresh" just about every other day in oil that is 2 to 3 weeks old, not to mention that they cook intestines, fry fish, shrimp, jalapenos, fries and just about anything that needs to be fried. They cook the beans once a week and keep them refrigerated, just enough to last them for the day are taken out and refried. the salsas, the soups, the chicken they use for the flautas are at least a week old.They reuse the leftover salsas and chips they put out on the tables. You might wanna skip dessert,( sometimes they have cheesecake) the flan is kept there so long that it grows mold and they still sell it. Worse of all, this place is infested with roaches. Once a poor lady found 1 on the bottom of her plate after she had eaten half of her chicken torta. In conclusion, save your hard earned money and go eat else where, why would you want to eat old stale food that can make you sick? Don't you...
