Kendra Scott — Local services in Liberty Township

The weekend of Black Friday (12/1), I walked into Kendra Scott on a mission to complete a Christmas gift for a child who I was purchasing gifts though the Non Profit that I’m involved with. I immediately explained to the associate that I was Tax Exempt and she excitedly told me that was fine! Together at the Color Bar, we created the perfect necklace for a wishful young woman. She rang me out and added in a perfume sample for good measure. All the associates were so excited to hear more about the Non Profit I was involved in and truly just made the overall experience one that I will never forget. I have purchased many of items for my own daughters at this location but, this trip was just extra special!! I cannot express to you the professionalism and attention to detail the associate in this store have. I have thought about this experience quite frequently since then because many store scoff at the thought of having to take the extra steps to do Tax Exempt. I visited the store hoping to purchase diamond earrings I have been saving up for to wear on my wedding night. I understand with covid that shopping experiences look a bit different, but when I walked in I wasn’t acknowledged at all or told about their safety policy. I walked to the case with diamonds and the employee finally acknowledged me (after being on her phone the entire time I was in the store) by yelling at me from the back. I felt rushed and unwelcome. I will now be taking my business across town to their Kenwood store or driving to their Easton store since my sister lives up there and speaks highly of their staff. Also a bummer since I had on three of their diamond pieces when I walked in. The employee might have paid more attention to me if she got close enough to notice. My daughter has been begging me for a Kendra Scott necklace so I surprised her with a little shopping trip to get ready for middle school. This was one of our steps. The store is larger than the one at Kenwood. Clean, bright, and airy. The ladies working were friendly and helpful.
