I bought a few small items in store on January 31, 2025 for a Chiefs fundraising raffle my non-profit was holding to celebrate the Super Bowl. While I was checking out, I asked if they donated gift cards to non-profits and I was told yes. I was told to write down my information, and the girl in charge would call me, and then I could choose between an emailed certificate or come get a physical one. I even told them about the raffle and that we were holding it prior to the SB. I picked this business to highlight on our social media pages while promoting our Chiefs raffle because previously, I enjoyed buying from them and I wanted to promote a local store.
A week later, I had not heard from anyone, so I called on February 7, 2025 to inquire about the status of it since our raffle drawing was happening the next day. I explained the back story to the associate and she told me the lady in charge wasn't in that day, but she would text her and find out, and that someone would get back to me even if they couldn't get it to me in time. Then her comment to me was that I seemed upset. I told her I wasn't upset, I was just trying to find out what was going on so I could deliver on my end.
Again, there was no follow up. So, today (February 11, 2025) I went to the store to ask (again) because now we have a winner of the raffle and I am to deliver the items this week. The only thing that's missing is the Love Letters gift card that we promoted in our raffle. When I walked into the store there were 4 employees standing around the registers talking. I (again) explained the back story while getting annoyed looks and eye rolling and then I was cut off saying they remembered me. I was then told (again) that I seemed upset. At this point, I wasn't upset, but I was frustrated because of the lack of follow through and the constant blame of being upset. I told them we had a winner, and that I needed to get the gift card because I had to deliver it to the person who won and this had been going on for almost 2 weeks. The one in charge said, "Fine!!!!! I'll get you the gift card!!!!!" As she starts to ring it up on the register, another employee asks me if I was told that I would be for sure getting one. What?!?!?! This is after I was told one would be emailed or picked up after they called me. By this point, I'm super irritated because this has turned into a huge ordeal over a (probably) $20 donated gift card. I ask why I'm being given attitude and then the woman in charge refuses to give me the gift card she was working on, and tells me that our winner can message them on Instagram to get it!!!! I told her our winner was an older woman and didn't have IG. She then says she needs to come in and ask for one (like it's so easy to get one in the first place), and refuses to follow through or work with me anymore. I turned around and told them they were insane and I walked out.
Not once in this whole process did I use foul language, raise my voice, be rude, inappropriate, or hateful. I was simply asking and trying to get to the bottom of it all, but by the end of it, I was absolutely upset! I have shopped at this store numerous times over the years and I have never, EVER been treated so badly in a retail establishment in my entire life! The lack of class, professionalism, and customer service was absolutely horrific!!!!! I used to be a manager in a chain retail store, and if any employees would've treated a customer the way I was treated today, they would've lost their job.
I will never shop at this store again! They don't deserve my money, and they definitely don't deserve to be promoted by our local organization. I don't want people who follow our business page to think we agree with this type of behavior if they were to be treated the same!
I highly recommend that you don't shop here! There are other boutiques in KC that have similar inventory, and you'll be...
Read moreI recently had a friend visit this store and this is her experience: I visited a store where I often shop online, especially for my favorite KC chief products that always receive compliments. Since I was in the area and had seen something online that interested me, I decided to stop by their brick-and-mortar location.
I value excellent customer service and donât mind paying extra for it. However, when I walked in, no one greeted me. Employees passed by without acknowledging me, which was disappointing. Meanwhile, I noticed that every customer who entered after meâwho didnât look like meâwas welcomed warmly.
Kindness and acknowledgment donât cost a thing, yet they make a huge difference. Given this experience, I wonât be shopping there anymore, online or in-store. Itâs unfortunate because Iâve been a loyal customer, but respect and good service...
Read moreCustomer service sucks. I ordered a placket on Friday. They did get it shipped the very next day. That part is great. But it's 2 weeks later and I still haven't received it. Sent them email said I would leave bad review. Surprisingly, I received a phone call from them. This could have gone so much better. Instead of saying "you still haven't received your placket. I am so sorry. We shipped it the very next day after your order".
Nope, what WAS said I looked up your order. You ordered on a Friday. We shipped the very next day. What else do you expect us to do?
Not once did they apologize for the delay in my order which I had planned to wear to his last few high-school basketball games. I've already missed two.
I'd love to be able to come in and edit the review because they refunded my placket for all the inconvenience but we all know how...
