This is a HORRIBLE store with HORRIBLE management behind it! My GF and I came in last night for a quick look-around to see the new Store in town and I happened upon an Outstanding Deal in the Fitness Section of the Store. It was a Marcy Bench and 80.lb weight set for $89.99, and what made this deal so awesome was the fact that it looked like it would last a long-time and was built extra sturdy! So my GF made the purchase and we asked if we could pick it up the next day when we had room in our SUV and they said sure. Well, I go online this morning before they open to look at the bench again and I then realize that it was NOT the same Bench online that was listed for $89.99, it was a smaller bench! Then I browse through their catalog some more and I see the one I saw in the store listed for $129.99 online at clearance for just the Bench alone! I realize then that someone MIS-LABLED the Olympic Bench and mis-took it for the the Standard! So when I go back in this morning I bring the cashier over, tell him the mistake that someone made by mislabling this Bench's price-tag, but that I had Already Bought it on Good Faith that it was the correct bench before he rips the mislabled tag off the Olympic Bench. When this happens, the Business is Obligated to Sell you the mislabled piece of Merchandise because you saw it and wanted to purchase it at the assumed price. The day-time manager obviously forgot his manners and his wits, because after waiting around for 20mins for them to figure this all out, they bring me into the back into the supply room AWAY from all the REST OF THE CUSTOMERS and then tries to tell me that the Standard Bench is WHAT I paid for, even THOUGH I CLEARLY SHOWED the Cashier the MISLABLED Piece of Equipment and had ALREADY PURCHASED IT ASSUMING it WAS the Bench that had the PRICE TAG ON IT AT THE TIME OF MY SALE! Nope, he keeps telling me, "No, THIS is what You PAID for.." even though the Cashier is STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO HIM and KNOWS THAT THE BENCH WAS MARKED WRONGLY!!! So, I then try to tell him, very politely, that the Olympic Bench was marked for the price I that I paid for and when I go to Pick UP my Paid FOR Product, he says, "Oh NO you Don't!" and pushes it DOWN, OUT OF MY HANDS for it to SLAM onto the floor right NEXT TO MY FOOT!!! He is THEN standing less than 2 feet in front of me, giving me a blank-stare and starting to treat me like I'M THE ONE trying to STEAL something from HIM!!! This is IN THE BACK of the Store, mind you, AWAY from all the other customers and Public Eyes, which is probably the ONLY reason he EVEN THOUGHT he could Act and get away with BEHAVING this way towards Customers to BEGIN WITH!!! I didn't want to come back, he brought ME back there and then TOLD ME, 'What' I had ACTUALLY, 'bought'... Really??? This African-American manager is the most STUPID and UNPROFESSIONAL Person I have EVER come into contact with in the Retail World, YET! Don't buy ANYTHING from Here UNLESS you ALREADY Checked Craigslist because you will probably find something BETTER for LESS and will NOT have to deal with the would-be 'thuggish' manager at this Slop-Sports Shop!!! Worst Retail...
Read moreThe three times that I entered into this store with my wife I only go to any store to shop and buy exactly what I'm looking for and I know that they have it but the problem with Big 5 Sporting Goods in Lincoln is the attitudes that the employees have and I finally found out who was attached to the acting manager or manager he looked at us as if we were going to steal something from him he avoided us for about the first 15 minutes until I had to ask for help and when he came to so-called help us he acted like he didn't know anything about my questions or concerns anyway we drifted over to the clothing department where where I had browse through their swimwear and he left us there he still gave us the eye what's wrong with some of these stores nowadays I just don't understand it everybody's on the offensive side not knowing who has a job or who doesn't have a job or money that's not the point it's the fact that they profile you the moment you step in what is it the clothes we wear the hair we wear a style no Style to me that kind of attitude is bad...
Read moreGreat help - Went to buy some night crawler worms for my 31 year old Box Turtle and young person named tagged "Tom" helped me. Stopped what he was doing to ring me up at the register. I'm sure I looked like some weird old man trying to buy fishing supplies. Tom listened to my dumb old man stories and even seemed to care what I had to say. They are lucky to have Tom. In my estimate of years he represents them well and will go far in life. All the staff here has been great each time I have...
