Took in 2 BIG totes & 1 smaller one of clothes, shoes & accessories to the Lincoln store. Most all of them were within season, gently worn, laundered & clean, & some new with tags. The little snothole working seemed less than impressed that she had to stand there and sort through people's items. She explained the process and that I would received a text message to first acknowledge that I checked in my totes of items (at 2:48 P.M.) and that I would receive another text when they were finished & that I could come back to pick them up (text received at 3:50 P.M.). So I return to see what items they would like to keep (expecting that they would want several), they kept only 3 items! Two pairs of shoes and a belt. The overly pierced happy fella, that waited on me told me that my items were out of season, overly worn and that there was mouse/rat poo in my totes!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I know what I buy for my overly picky child, and she hardly wears anything that we get. And the fact that when I opened my lids to the brand new totes (that have all been sitting in my spare bedroom), a majority of them hadn't even been unfolded and looked at!! They were still folded the same way as when I neatly packed them in the totes originally. So please tell me how you found poo in the bottom of my totes?? Oh that's right .... you didn't! Because you never even made your way to the bottom of them in the first place!! SOOO OVER IT!! I should have kept my 3 measly items and said piss on it, but I will never return to this janky store. I myself have seen items for sale on the racks that were in far worse shape than mine. I guess it just depends on the mood of who is working that day and who gets stuck rummaging through clothes and whether or not they actually feel like doing their job. From now on, my items will get donated to those who appreciate...
Read moreWOW! Just treated VERY rudely by the girl with long blonde hair here. VERY VERY rudely. That is really mean to be so rude to me. Probably won't come back. Ever. :( don't appreciate her commanding me to "Speak Louder!", pretty awful! I actually can't "Speak Louder!" when people are mean to me my voice does not work and oftentimes it keeps me from being able to speak at all.
I can say the other store employee was a lot nicer when I dropped my clothing off. If that person had treated me like this when I brought my clothing in I wouldn't have allowed Plato's Closet the opportunity to buy my things.
As a regular customer, I felt this rude treatment was really uncalled for. instead she could possibly smile and try listen to me, and pay attention or BE WAY NICER. She refused to say anything nice to me and didn't tell me what Plato's Closet was willing to buy. She refused to communicate except to tell ME-"TALK LOUDER!" In addition, compared to the amounts I am used to getting for my nice things, today it was so disappointing. Hardly anything for Nice EXPENSIVE CLOTHING. They will make a lot of money off of what they "took". A pair of Expensive Ladies Designer Shoes. A Designer 100% Down 3/4 Black Hawke & Co. Winter Coat. 2 Brand new expensive crystal bracelets, and a nice new hoodie for fall.
The Owner of Plato's Closet should care that I was Blatently treated like DIRT by THAT Girl just now. Zero Eye Contact. Just MEAN AND CRUEL. IS SHE THE OWNER? THAT is how you treat Regular High end Customers who bring you exceptional Quality Brands in Excellent condition? Not Nice in any way đ˘. I also know that I am not the only one to be treated...
Read moreI brought in several things over the years. Theyâve always turned it down. Iâve washed them before I brought them in several times they returned it for a weird stain which me and several other people have thoroughly checked them to make sure I wasnât Trippin I brought in South Pole items which are worth a lot of money. It confuses me because they tell you to bring in namebrand items and every item Iâve ever bought and has been namebrand and theyâve never took it from pink to coach To South Pole even Polo Iâm starting to think itâs a size thing. I am a bigger girl and going into Platoâs. I really donât see many plus size clothing items makes me very sad. Because theyâre one of the only places in Lincoln that will exchange clothes for money I would hate to just give these away some of them even still have the tag on them well, I could just use Facebook marketplace. Itâs usually kind of difficult and you have to weed out. A lot of weirdos to actually get...
