Today I went to AutoZone completely at lose with this car I bought. The headlight was out and I tried to fix it myself but just couldnāt figure it out. So I decided to come to AutoZone for some guidance I was helped by A gentleman who never seems to Want to help me. He told me I needed to call a mechanic. I pleaded with him if he could just steer me in the right direction and he told me no flat out and that he couldnāt put my headlight Bulb back in for me Then he proceeded to tell me that I most likely got the wrong lightbulb that those were for my highbeams and I just needed a regular light Bulb I said OK thank you so much. I went inside to purchase a light bulb by a different gentleman and he asked me what kind of car I had. I proceeded to tell him and I told him what a headache it was going to be to try and figure out how to put it in he said, Would you like me to take a look at it and I looked at him and said I would appreciate that I explained to him how that gentleman has helped me in the past and heās never really been any help and has steered me in the wrong way before so he came out to my car willingly looked at it said yes it looks like it may be a little work, but itās possible he then said he could do it it would just take a little while I looked at him and I was so excited after I had a long day of work and fixing to have to go back to work. I said please help He just looked at me and said I got you. It may take a minute. I told him I had all the minutes in the world and he went and got the tools and he put in my light. This meant the world to me his kindness. His persistence was so much appreciated today. I hope when you read this review that you take into consideration what this does For someone, his customer service was TOP NOTCH. I am a patient care supervisor for my job and my number one priority is my patients That come into my office they are what we build our company on and treating them with kindness is the least thing we could ever do for them. It speaks volumes when somebody goes out of their way to take care of a customer and just simply take the time On them. Thank you, Harley. You were so great today. Ā Ā Ā Read moreMyles, who told me he was the store manager, was unprofessional right from the beginning. I informed Myles that another location sold me the wrong ac air filter. I would like to see if I could exchange it. I told him my model and make. He then tells me this isn't the right one. I agreed, explaining that when I tried to replace it, it didn't fit.
But before I finished he said why don't you let me do my job? Confused, I said, "Why wouldn't I let you do your job? You're the expert. He left to find the part and came back with a new different type of airfilter. But when I showed him my email with the item and cost, since it didn't have a barcode on the email, he said it wasn't a receipt???
I asked for a manager, so he just said, "Hold on." He charged me $25 for the airfilter and gave me a store credit on the returned item. (There was a delay because I had to find the correct receipt before he credited.)
So I went and found the air filter and saw it was priced at $12.99. Half of what he charged me. This time, I went to a different cashier and asked why the price was higher than the marked price. I got my credit back and got charged the correct price with the help of a professional customer service person. Even though Myles overheard the conversation and even came over to see the refund and price change. He didn't even apologize or acknowledge his mistake.
Upper management should get some additional training on customer service.
Myles also stated earlier that phone number didn't match the name, but he couldn't fix it on his computer. Which was not true because the other rep did it...
