Buyer beware of CPR, I think the reviews on here are fluffed! My bad experience. I took the iphone 5 in to CPR to fix a broken screen and my now recalled power button flex cable. They tried to sell me on a cheaper screen, they put it in and it wasn't clear but yellow. Wow!!! Then I told them to take that out and put a clear screen in, who buys yellow tinted sub standard glass?? When I get the phone back the phone is acting crazy scrolling by itself excreta. Wtf? And the speaker phone mic is dead. They blame the problem on a faulty mother board. HOLD ON... Everything worked and the only issue was the broken screen and the apple recall power button. Fyi I just found out the power button and battery was recalled by apple for my iphone 5. So I have a busted phone with a fixed screen and decide to make due until the iphone 6 comes out. Now I have to wait till October for it so I took it to another shop by my office. Show em the phone and $35 bucks later the phone works perfectly. What was the cause of the problem? CPR!!! They left out a screw that caused the phone to spaz out by itself now and then. The speaker phone mic is behind the screen next to the top speaker. When CPR replaced the screen they broke the mic. It's a shame that you take a phone to CPR to fix and it comes out with new problems. Then you have to go to a different shop to pay to fix what the CPR broke. The truth is that the phone is delicate and you can easily break it replacing a broken screen. But don't leave a customer high and dry ... Especially if you call yourself a iphone repair shop but when you screw up their phone and don't know how to fix the damage caused or willing to call in someone that knows how to trouble shoot the problem. Their excuse umm these phones are meant to be disposable.. Wtf??? Your in the business to fix them!!!!! It's like going to have your car fixed and they leave out parts or break something out of their own negligence and say "opps your car doesn't work go buy a new one". I am still mind blown that the fix was so easy... I saw them do it... They just put a new screw in that was missing from CPR's install, then they replaced the little cable that connects to the mic behind the screen. After seeing them do it it looks so easy to replace a screen I'll...
Read moreI went to this place a couple weeks ago, and right off the bat the lady at the front was not friendly at all. I didn't get her name but based off other reviews her name might be Stacy. She was not helpful and was rude towards me when all I was asking was for help, literally for no reason. Don't know what her problem was. I was coming in to get my front screen fixed, as it was cracked. I had filed a claim through t-moblie and I already have a protection plan with them so I had already paid the small fee. All i had to was turn my phone in and come back, pick it and no extra charges should be added, as I already PAID. "Stacy" claimed I had to get the back of my phone fixed as well as the front, and claimed I couldn't just get my front screen fixed. I had been to this exact location about a year ago and never had this problem "claiming in order to fix the front they had to fix the back". She said I would have to pay an extra $89 to get the back fixed. So I said to myself this is not right, and I probably being scammed as she just was wanting to get money from me. I literally went to the CPR on preston, and had no issue them. Never once did they say I had to get the back of my phone fixed as well. Walked in and told them I just needed my front screen to be fixed, and came back picked it up, and did NOT HAVE TO PAY A DIME. It was so easy with the other location and had great customer service. Will not be using this location again....
Read moreUsed CPR (Little Elm) to repair my phone battery in my iPhone 12 Pro. They used genuine Apple parts and had my phone ready quickly. After the battery repair, my phone was dropped and needed a back glass replacement, which was taken to another repair shop. A week or so after the back glass repair, my battery began swelling and causing the front screen to lift. I brought my phone back to CPR and they offered to replace my battery for free, however, I had noticed the back glass had cracked again (not being dropped this time) and the owner of CPR offered to repair the back glass free of charge.
After taking my phone apart, CPRs team noticed that the other repair shop had used non authentic glass and they had caused large amounts of internal damage with the tools they used to removed the back glass, in fact the tool used by the other shop caused a puncture in the battery itself. Zee (owner of CPR) called me to break down just what they were seeing and how they could tell that the battery issues weren’t caused by a faulty battery, but rather by the other repair shop. Even knowing this and providing multiple photos of their findings, Zee offered to still replace the battery and put the phone back together best as possible.
I would highly recommend CPR going forward and all repairs I have will go to them. Their staff is knowledgeable and courteous. They may cost a little more, but they do...
