I had the worst customer experience at the home goods store located in Chenal (Little Rock) due to the General Manager (Calvon). I went shopping with my mom, and we had a car full of stuff that we didn't want to push around the store. We approached Calvon and asked if it was Ok to leave the car by the cashier as we were almost ready to leave. He said in a VERY rude manner that the open space near the cashier was only for furniture (not to mention that i've been to the store many times before, and the associates always allow me to leave the car in that area when our car is full...Also they were NO SIGNS explaining that cars couldn't be left in that area)... We apologized and decided to leave the car in an alley near the cashier station. After literally 3 min, we came back to look for the car and it wasn't there. I knew right away he was the one who ordered to move it. I asked him why he moved it and he said that any unattended cars are put away. My response was that I've never been to a store that put cars away after 3 min of leaving them unattended (believe me, I lived in Europe, South America, the U.S and never had this issue before). He said that he takes pride to have a clean store... I get his point but what frustrates me is that he knew we were the ones who left the car, and it wasn't really unattended. In addition there are NO SIGNS in the store that inform you about taking away your car if left unattended for a few minutes. After the situation, I requested to speak to the Manager and to my surprise HE was the manager. I found the same complaint about this person in another YELP site, so i'm sure it's not only me...I am looking desperately to report this issue but i haven't found any names or numbers. I can assure you that I will never come back to the store unless i know some action has been taken, and i will continue to post reviews in EVERY site about the terrible customer service at the Home Goods store in...
Read moreI used to love this store. If I could rate the service provided today to myself from Melinda the manager a 0/5 stars I would. I found a decorative book I wanted for my house which was missing the protective wrap and had a scratch right down the middle. I asked for a price check and if I could get a discount for the cosmetic damage. Melinda was not who was checking me out. The girl checking me out told me I could get a discount for the damage. Melinda spoke to me like I was 5 years old. Obviously did not know her inventory and told me there was no functional damage?? It’s a decorative book. I would have still bought the book if Melinda did not mock me at the checkout. I am a nurse and cannot believe that Melinda from home goods on chenal would speak to me as if I was below her. Will stop my weekly trips to this homegoods after this. Does anyone here know how I can...
Read moreThis Home Goods specifically, is super nice. I’m starting to notice FINALLY, stores like this and Kirkland’s is beginning to get rid of all the cheap items from China and they are sourcing QUALITY pieces from other countries.
Yesterday, my visit was super productive and I left with a smile. I was able to find exactly what I needed AND at Clearance prices!!
They’ve got a great selection of lamps, rugs, furniture, curtains, and so much more! If you need curtain rods and don’t want to spend a bunch of money on them, go to Home Goods.
I found a 66-144” curtain rod 3/4 in diameter on Clearance for $15. You can’t beat that. Also got a 4pack 96” Calvin Kleincurtains on Clearance for less than $20!
Home Goods in the Promenade is definitely worth...
