On July 6, 2025, my fiancée and I visited the Men’s Wearhouse at the Chenal location in Little Rock, AR, to rent wedding attire. During the appointment, the sales associate used a specific sales pitch: if we added unnecessary rental products (such as cufflinks, bow tie, etc.) to reach a 5-item threshold, we would receive the groom’s suit rental (mine) for free. Based on this representation, we agreed to add those items.
Because these items were added under our wedding party file, 13 other members of our wedding party also ended up purchasing unnecessary add-ons they did not want or need. This inflated the cost for everyone in the party, all under the assumption that my rental would be free.
Following our wedding on August 9, 2025, I noticed the groom’s suit rental had not been refunded to my card as promised. When I called the store, the same associate told me the refund would be processed back to the original card. As of August 26, no refund had appeared.
I have since spoken with three employees and finally with manager Taylor Smith. He admitted this was mishandled, but told me it was a “corporate problem” beyond his ability to resolve. He stated he could discipline the employee but that I would need to contact corporate for any refund.
In short:
The sales associate misrepresented the promotion and caused me and 13 wedding party members to be charged for unnecessary products.
I was promised a refund for the groom’s rental that was never processed.
The local store management has acknowledged the problem but refuses to take responsibility, pushing it off as a “corporate issue.”
This experience amounts to deceptive sales practices. I want to warn other customers to beware of this sales tactic at the Chenal...
Read moreWe had an awful experience here. We made an appointment online for noon for a custom suit consultation. We got there about 20 minutes early. No one greeted us or offered to help for about 10 minutes. Finally, a guy measured my fiancé. We explained we were there for a custom suit consultation. He still tried to send us to off the rack several times. Finally, he said his manager would be the one doing the appointment and she'd be over in a few minutes. We waited until about 12:15 and never saw or heard from anyone. I went to the register to ask when she'd be available as we needed to get back to work thay afternoon. Turns out, the manager who was supposed to be doing our appointment was working the register. She had an attitude and said she'd be over in a few minutes. There were other employees just standing there who could have worked the register.
It was 12:35 before she ever walked over. She did not seem excited at all. She didn't seem like she wanted to look up what we wanted. She asked us if we knew how much these would cost as though she thought it would scare us off. We told her we knew and it was fine. We started trying to piece it together only for most things to be unavailable. She went to call someone and came back saying they don't make any money on custom suits so they jusy aren't stocking the pieces any more.
Their website still says custom is fully available and you can schedule an appointment.
Even if custom is not available, the fact that we had to wait 35 minutes only to be given horrible attitude and customer service was ridiculous.
We will not be returning. Do yourself a favor and go down the road to Q Clothier. We had excellent service that was prompt and actually less in price than what...
Read moreI thought I had a great experience… but ended up having a bad one. I’m changing my once 5 star review to a 1 star. It’d be zero stars if it were an option. I was told when I bought my suit to just bring it back up the next day and drop it off with their in-house tailor. It needed a few alterations. The salesman presented it to me as if it was just part of the service. Never once did he tell me it would cost an additional $75. I told him yesterday I was on a budget and that I needed to keep it under a certain price point. He sold me a suit that didn’t properly fit and failed to mention the additional cost to have the alterations done so it would fit. I guess he just wanted to get the sale and hoped I wouldn’t buck on the extra cost when I came back.
He made it sound like it was just part of the service. While I’m trying the suit on, he’s pointing out things like, “yeah we will just have the tailor take the pant leg up a bit, and shorten the jacket sleeve.”. Then just said bring it back up any day this week while trailor is here. Never mentioned it would cost more.
Well, I may not have bought the most expensive suit, but I’ll never buy another one from mens warehouse again. Plus they will not get the business from the rest of the wedding party. I’ll make sure of that.
I cannot stand underhanded dishonest sales people who will say anything to get a sale. He knew what I had to spend on a suit because i told him my budget. It was dishonest to not fully explain the entire cost of buying that suit.
That was the very first and very last experience I’ll ever have with mens warehouse. I’m sure they don’t care, I’m...
