I initially went to Heritage after reading their reviews online. I had gems in 2 different settings that I wanted combined into a single new fun/casual setting. They listened to what I was looking for and were very helpful in showing me how I could accomplish my goal. My first impression of Heritage was so warm and welcoming, my gut told me to do the project with them. I always like to shop around a little before moving forward with something like this so I walked out and went to a different jeweler, where I was so unimpressed. It was an easy choice, I went back to Heritage Jewelers. Jan, Dirk, Tom and Patty? helped me pick the perfect setting and determine how the gems could likely be set best within it. I left understanding that when they started actually working on it, they may find that the stones would look better set in somewhat differently. I was confident they understood what I wanted and had no concerns at all of leaving this in their very capable hands. The work was done as scheduled. Tom indeed changed the layout a bit, it is an absolutely fabulous, stunning piece of art. I have received numerous compliments on this ring. I would recommend everyone go to Heritage Jewelry. Dirk helped me create a 100% custom engagement ring. He provided not only CAD designs from my ideas and sketch, but wax mock ups of the ring to make absolutely sure you know what you are getting before you buy. He provided a ton of great insight and advise on how to best get the features I wanted incorporated into a beautiful final product. His selection of stones is fantastic, and the ability to design almost anything you can think of paired with their no pressure environment and willingness to work with any budget ensure that I will probably never go anywhere else for quality jewelry again. While I have not had need of their service to repair or re size a piece of jewelry, I can say that I watched their employee work on several pieces during my visits there, and his work was not only entertaining to watch but seemed to be of a very high quality. I was a customer for about 6 years when Tom took over the business. I’ve never had anything bad to say about Tom, he’s a very good jeweler and very personable . I was happy for him when he bought the store and continued my patronage.

Right after he purchased the store I brought him a $400 Zodiac watch that needed a new battery. Tom accidentally broke the watch stem when replacing the battery. He said he’d send it out to his repair guy and have it fixed. 3 weeks later I got the watch back and instead of reusing the signed crown the repairman put a cheap, generic crown on the watch, drastically reducing its value.
