Beware employees trying to scam you with their rewards program at this location. I purchased a few games and during the purchase, an employee named Steven pitched their rewards program and all it's benefits, making it seem like any other rewards/points for purchases etc, but intentionally failed to mention that it costs $14.99, will automatically recur annually, and be a royal pain to cancel. He charged me for it without telling me, hoping the price tag of the other items I was buying would mask it. I noticed it on the receipt when I got home, listed as a digital game magazine subscription. I immediately called the phone number on the receipt for customer service regarding the rewards program. I waited on hold for a long time, was connected to someone and explained the situation, and made a complaint about the employee and the store. The CSR claimed that it was within the time period so she could cancel it and have it refunded. Sounds good except that it never happened. Two months later I noticed I had still not received a refund for it and called the number again. This time they told me that it had been cancelled, but I had to go to the physical store to receive the refund and assured me that the people in the store would be able to see the note that I was due a refund. Sounds good except that also was not true. Upon entering the store and asking for my refund, Ozzy informed me that the time period had passed where he could give me a refund. I asked if the subscription was still active and he said that it was. I explained that I had called GameStop customer service TWICE, once the same day I was scammed, and again the day before coming into the store and both times I had been assured it was cancelled and that I would be refunded. Ozzy called his own GameStop CSR to confirm what I had told him was true, and that I had called twice and never used the rewards points, which I assume they did to some extent as Ozzy did end up refunding me the cost of the subscription, and I waited while he confirmed the subscription was cancelled and would not recur. I guess we'll see in May if I get charged another $14.99. I then decided I should repeat my complaint to Ozzy personally about an employee hiding the subscription in my other purchases, as the corporate phone CSRs apparently don't actually do anything that they say they do. When I described how they had hidden the charge onto my bill, another employee who was listening literally busted out laughing and just said "Yeah that happens," which shows you they know exactly what goes on. Her honesty was refreshing, if nothing else. Ozzy was very nice in general, he made the refund happen despite who knows what they said on the phone to him about my situation when he called. He was very empathetic and assured me that I had every reason to be upset. He said he would talk to the employee but that he "probably wouldn't remember me" since it had been a few months. If they don't remember me it's only because he does this kind of thing all the time. Ozzy and the other employee in the store today (I'm sorry Ma'am I didn't get your name) were lovely and the only people who weren't corporate robots and had $15 worth of integrity to give in this whole ordeal. Sadly, it wont be enough for me to ever shop at any GameStop store again.
TL;DR Beware the predatory rewards program. Oh, and Corporate GameStop is corrupt and will actively lie to you and not give you proper...

Read moreOne of the smallest GameStops I've ever been to outside of a mall and yet they are the ones with the best customer service I've ever been to. They always have the time to talk shop about the latest releases and when they are busy, every customer leaves feeling as though they were well taken care of, heard, and overall satisfied with their experience. Don't forget to look at random inside the shop; you never know what just went on sale or what mini one day sales on electronics...
