This place has great, unique to the area, food. They are very understanding about food allergies and our waitress was more knowledgable than average, as her daughter has food allergies. There are two large tables near the back, which are great for large parties. They also have outdoor, patio seating. The one gripe I have about this place is when they have people seated outside, they will leave the front door wide open all the times. Outside, they have gas heat lamps to keep patrons warm despite the cold breeze. Inside, that breeze whipped through the wide open door and froze those of us seated in there. I had a delicious pork dish, where you assemble your own taco, there one of the times we visited. I also had them make a hashbrown hash the other time, as I'm allergic to eggs. So, I asked them to just mix veggies and cheese, with a spicy sausage...all of which was a menu item...just with eggs and not made as a hash originally. They were very nice and obliged my dietary restrictions. This is one of two places I recommend if you're in the area and looking...
Read moreCajun kitchen has been my go to breakfast spot since moving to the area a year ago. But today's to-go experience was a very disheartening one. As a busy mom with a small baby I just wanted to enjoy a delicious breakfast I did not have to make myself. With a small baby, dining in just was not the best option for us today. I tried to call in an order for over an hour and kept getting a busy signal. Finally I made it to restaurant and just placed the order in person. But when I arrived the girls at the counter told me that they just turn the phone off when it is busy or if it close to closing time. The girl speaking to me spoke to me in a condescending tone and made an already not so great morning, even worse. She seemed bothered that she even had to take my order. Mind you there was still an hour till closing and I had been trying to call since way before. The experience was uncomfortable over all and I blame myself for giving yall the benefit of the doubt and thinking I had the incorrect phone number. I will be exploring other breakfast restaurants...
Read moreI have loved this place since I first started coming here for birthdays with our women's group. They have a huge menu, but I recommend their breakfasts. The Rancher is what I always order. It's an omelet with cheese, tomato, bacon bits and avacado, so delicious and perfectly cooked. I suggest the home fries, and instead of toast or a biscuit you should get their homemade Blueberry Muffins. (With so much food that comes with an order I always get mine to go from the start...best I've had from a restaurant ever) I can never finish a plate, so if you can split an order with a friend there is plenty to go around. We are always a large rowdy group and the wait staff never misses a beat. They remember us an know how we like things even though we only visit about 5 times a year. Oh and my niece Cassie loves the hot chocolate...don't forget the whipped cream and...
