QQ Aloha BBQ — Restaurant in Lompoc

First time going to a Hawaiian bbq. I'll be honest I wasn't expecting much going into this establishment. Not the greatest of presentation in terms of storefront however the food may stray your mind away from that. I order the mix bbq plate, came with short ribs, spicy chicken and coconut shrimp. Additionally, instead of getting rice I substituted it with 2scoops of Mac salad and a regular salad. I must say I was very impressed by how delicious the Mac salad was. Not a fan of white meat but that's the only thing they had, surprisingly that was delicious as well. I can't say the same for the ribs, it wasn't as good as I would like, little chewy and not a lot of flavor. The coconut shrimp was del, but that should be expected. Solid barbeque with low prices that you don't see as often anymore. I went for the $10 Chicken Plate (BBQ Chicken, Mac Salad, and Rice which I thoroughly enjoyed. They told me that there would be a 15 minute wait but I only ended up waiting 5 minutes for my food. Their chicken was grilled and marinated very well, with just the right balance of fat and meat and delicious sweet glaze sauce. The rice that came with it was moist and well cooked with a slight flowery flavor, and the macaroni salad was well made, tasted pretty good, and wasn't overpowering with the mayonnaise or other ingredients like many places with mac salad are. The staff are cheerful, chill, and fast. My food took about 5 minutes to make, and everything was fresh and hot. I would definitely recommend going here, especially with a boba store...

The only reason i'm giving it a one is so that I can leave a written review and let everyone know what they do inside this place. I walked in to order last night, And right behind the counter was a little table where the owner, the owner's wife, and the young girl that works there. They were all standing around a table where there was about a 9 or 10 month old baby in a high chair and the mother and father were making crab rangoons out of a tray of crab mix and plating them on a tray to cook.
