My husband and I had a very good experience with pricing cabinets here. They carry a variety of brands from custom cabinets to very basic ones and are very honest about what everything costs. Rita Talbot helped us design and select cabinets for our mud and laundry rooms and was very open about price differences between the cabinet lines and how we could get the best value for the features we wanted. This is in sharp contrast to the business practice of Warehouse Sales Inc. in Marshall; the cabinet supplier our contractor recommended. When we asked for the same cabinet configuration in a lower cost line our questions about price were met with obfuscation and dinner-theatre displays of anger by Yvonne who otherwise seems to be a very experienced salesperson. She and her colleague told us that our inquiries about price were not only unwelcome but "rude" and insulting. Yvonne consistently tried to steer us toward more expensive product lines and features despite our protest that these cabinets were for utility areas. Very disappointed! My husband and I thought that going to Budget Home Supply instead of Home Depot would be a good choice. Our first encounter five years ago was with a woman who helped us pick out floor tile and shower onyx. She was great! We went back for bathroom supplies and she was gone. So we dealt with another woman. We trusted she was going to take care of us. We had to order more onyx so she started putting in the order when my husband noticed the measurements weren’t correct. She assured us she was going to make sure it wasn’t an issue. The order came in wrong and instead of reordering at no charge she charged us for a replacement piece! My husband is a nice guy didn’t want to argue about it. Then she gave us two referrals for bathroom contractor. The first one we called never got back to us. The second one ended up doing a below average job. Busted a water pipe, tiled over a bathroom vent and cut the onyx crookedly. Lost the toilet parts and so on and so on! My husband had to stop the work. He’s now having to finish the job himself. We will never use Home Budget...

For the most part, I like BHS, right now I'm trying to plan a deck project and the online store doesn't provide any info as to what is in stock or have pricing. Upgrade your website please.

It's hit or miss with customer service, most days the in-store and warehouse/lot employees are helpful and friendly.

I was in yesterday and the guys at the back desk were less than enthusiastic, no offers of help, they responded to questions only minimally. I felt like I was a burden to them instead of a customer willing to spend my hard earned dollars there. One didn't seem to want to get out of his chair to bag my purchase, like I was gonna just carry a dozen small items in my hands. Everyone has their bad days, it's understandable, but geez! Might as well go to Home Depot or Lowes.
