I was asked to share my experience, so here you go.
We booked this venue for our performance. On the day of the event, we were given no sound or light support, to which the owner blamed us continuously and have continued to do so in response to other patrons' reviews. This caused us to try and get the sound working ourselves on a sound system that is completely broken. They have also continued to insist that the system is not broken, though a different performance earlier that week was delayed by 2 hours due to the state of the system, and they had their own professional roadies to handle the sound. They reported a system that is unfit for professional use in its current state.
What followed was the most humiliating performance as the owner walked out as soon as the show began, leaving us playing sound though one speaker in pitch dark aside for the spotlight. We weren't even shown how to bring up the house lights for intermission. We were delayed by half an hour, during which time some attendees left. During this delay, damage to the sound system was coming though at hearing damaging volume while we were running sound tests.
We ran the same show at a different venue a few weeks prior and had no such issues. It is clear this is a fault of the venue and it's management. They fact they did not deliver on providing us with a functional venue and have continued to be rude and accusatory shows a frankly impressive level of unprofessionalism.
Additionally, I spoke to attendees and they relayed that the waitstaff had no idea what kind of refreshments were being provided. That same waitstaff talked so loudly over the show, I could hear them from beside the stage on the other side of the room. The performers could hear them on stage while speaking.
About half of the attendees left before the show ended. It was one of the most stressful and humiliating experiences I have had with any business. It is clear that the owners would like to blame us rather than take any responsibility for their failings. They have a non-funtional venue, extremely overpriced food, and undertrained and underpaid staff.
There is a very good reason this venue has as many negative reviews as it does. I urge you to not attend or book this venue to save yourself a...
Read moreWent to the Valentine’s Day comedy show, the comedians were okay, but I rarely turn down stand up, so I’m sure I’ll be back for that (hence the 2 stars.) The food and drinks, on the other hand, were truly something to be embarrassed about, and I hope they can fix these issues asap before this beautiful place implodes on itself.
We ordered both a gyro ($16) and a cheeseburger ($14) and both sandwiches had zero sauces with them, so it was like eating cardboard. Due to their inefficient food running system, we chalked it down and ate them dry.
Their system for delivering food during a show was to bring everything to the corner of the bar, while they hold up a long piece of paper with your name on it (good luck if you aren’t far sighted.) This is so that servers don’t have to try and find you during the show. But that means that while you’re supposed to be watching and enjoying the show, you instead have to keep your eyes on the bar while there’s multiple people crowding the area trying to see if their food has arrived. This whole disaster of a system could easily be resolved by giving people light-up buzzers when they order their food.
The tiny 6oz pours of wine were $12 each, and their Pinot Noir is on draft, which means your red wine is being served COLD. That’s a hard no for me. And if I had known I was being charged $12 for such a measly pour, I definitely would have ordered a beer instead (I personally would not take a risk on mixed drinks here.)
As I’m closing my tab at the end of the night, the guy runs my card before I even get a chance to see a line item list of what I’m being charged for. I felt like our total was excessively high for what we ordered, so I asked him if I could see what was on my tab, but their card system didn’t have an option to cancel the transaction once it was already on the tip screen, so I had to blindly pay and email myself a receipt.
Unless you have the palette of a 15 year old, yourself a favor and eat / drink elsewhere before coming to...
Read moreDon’t even bother. We thought it would be fun to try a new live music venue and this place is a complete disappointment. I hate leaving one star reviews and this may be the first one I’ve ever left.
We arrived a few minutes before the show was to start and no one was seated. The decor is mismatched and shabby. We ordered food from our table. It was very overpriced with tiny portions. My husband got the Philly cheese steak which was pretty good. The fries were cold. I ordered the Korean barbecue chicken sandwich which was terrible and rubbery. I would have sent it back but the poor waitress was so overwhelmed, I just couldn’t add to her burdens. They forgot my salad because “the tickets weren’t printing downstairs.” It arrived without silverware, which she eventually got to me. Technically we weren’t here for the food but to see a Fleetwood Mac / Meatloaf cover band I really wanted to see. The band started over a hour late, which was particularly frustrating because my husband and I left work early so we wouldn’t miss the beginning. The band was great but I felt bad for them because the acoustics were so terrible and there was no one mixing the sound or doing lights. The echo was awful. The sound of the audience and the bar was louder than the band.
The tickets were more expensive than the other venues we frequent for live music. We were hoping to add this place to our rotation of live music options we generally frequent. The evening cost us $150 between tickets and food and drinks. What a waste.
And it was absolutely FREEZING inside. My feet felt like little icebergs even wearing my winter coat. I’m disgusted and don’t plan on giving it a...
