Rockin On The River — Local services in Lorain

I Love the music, friends, and the good times that I have had in the past. I have been a life long resident of Lorain Co. with 98% of it in the city of Lorain. I have been attending Rockin on the River for many Friday nights over the last several years. This year I am VERY dissappointed with their handicapped parking. I myself am not handicapped. I have several family members and friends that are either handicapped, disabled or have some functional need that prevents them from walking long distances. BUT... to make an extra buck, Rockin on the River has moved the handicapped parking down with regular parking to accommodate the new VIP section. Over the last several years, the previous handicap area was filled up with vehicles that support our veterans, elderly, and disabled people that enjoy the events. Tonight my friend had to stop 4 times trying to make it back to our vehicle. Then my friends that came after us that are in their 70's/and a veteran had to walk even further to get to their vehicle. This puts a huge damper on these people, and prevent them from attending due to the extra strain put on them. I think they should not have moved the handicapped parking area. I think this is discriminating to them. YES they are providing a couple of shuttle golf carts, but some of these people are not able to do that high step to get onto a cart. our stand and wait for a cart to come an get them and...

It was a nice venue. But one of their staff members was very aggressive to me. I had to take my sick daughter to the bathroom and I was holding her. The lady next to me was offering to help walk my kid into the bathroom for me. Then all of a sudden this older male staff member who guards that area came hollering at me like I was trying to enter the women's restroom. He was extremely confrontational and caused a huge scene. He was literally in my face with extreme anger swearing at me. Saying he's not afraid of me. He looked extremely disturbed. He went so far to call the cops over and try to kick me out while my kid was in the restroom. He was even swearing to me in front of the police. I told the police that I was just waiting with my sick daughter and showed to them how hostile this man was being. At that point it ended. But omg. This man needs to be fired. I was causing no harm. And then this prejudice man comes and picks a fight with me. I wish I got it on video because I would be sending that...

We've been going to rocking on the river since it started in Cuyahoga Falls. It's now in Lorain. Rocking on the river is the best place to go to get out for the night!

They have the greatest cover bands, two bands a night. They have beer, wine coolers, and full liquor drinks.

They also have tons of food trucks with everything you could ever want!

The entry fee is only $10 per person which is more than fair for the entertainment! You can bring chairs and blankets to lay out on the grass! They also have covered areas with picnic tables.

This is a great event for the whole family! There's plenty of room for the kids to run 7 it's great for the parents!
