Save A Lot — Local services in Lorain

Help Wanted

This one will be short and sweet. Walked over to this store around 8:10AM today, 6/26/25. Only needed a 1/2 gallon of milk. Found the milk way in the back, walked up to register 3 - the one that was "open", and waited. And waited. And waited. And waited.

Saw a couple of employees wandering around the store, but they apparently couldn't see me. (Even Dollar Tree has a squeeze toy at the register to alert employees that at least one customer would like to get on with the rest of their lives). So, I put the milk back in the cooler and drove over to Apple's in Sheffield Lake.

This lack of service at Save-A-Lot cost me an extra $1.10 (!) for the milk, and who knows how much in time and gasoline wasted.

So, Mr or Mrs. Store Owner, can you guess the next time I'll attempt to buy something over on 4th Street?

The produce looks terrible every time I come to this location. We go there for quick stops. There are other Save-A-Lot in the area that are much better with their produce. But it is definitely a needed store because it's in a very centralized location so for people with disabilities that cannot get to another store this is at least a decent grocery store in their neighborhood. They are close to a senior & disability high-rise so those that live in a high-rise definitely need the store. The staff is always super great when I see them helping the disabled people. The rating is truly because the produce looks terrible every time I come in here granted it's like once in a blue moon. But it still should look better than that when I do shop...

Ok so I love shopping here. This is my usual spot to grocery shop. So happy they have a location in lorain now. But today, it was a little different. They have a new look, I can appreciate that I suppose. But certain things i always buy i decided not to, bcus it was in smaller portions but the same price. & other things just looked completely different. Wasnt sure if I'd like the product. Plus the bags are also much smaller now. HOWEVER I still spent less than $50 & that felt great ! No way could I have done that at Walmart or apples ! I will keep...
