The Late Shift Lowdown
It was Friday, October 24th, around 8:20 p.m., and my hopes for a calm start to the weekend were crushed by a cashier who seemed to have peaked in aggravation.
I encountered a Hispanic gentleman, likely somewhere between 45 and 50, who was the physical embodiment of the phrase "clocking out soon." He was about 5'6"ânotably shortâwith short hair, a faint, wispy mustache, and puffy, tired eyes that suggested he'd been fighting sleep since Tuesday. His distinguishing feature? A solid "beer belly" that clearly won the battle against any exercise routine.
The trouble started when this perpetually weary man aggressively charged me for an item I didn't get. When I dared to point out his mistake, his demeanor turned hostile. His exhaustion transformed into a palpable menace that made the simple act of checking out feel like a mini-interrogation.
I left the store feeling completely harassed and unsafe, as if I'd just been mugged by a man whose main weapon was a poor attitude and an incorrect price scanner. The whole interaction was a bizarre, late-night lesson in how one man's need for a nap can ruin another...
Read moreI love coming to this 7 eleven because the ladies and that one guy (forgot his name) give good customer service when I go there like around 8am in the morning after work. Anyways yesterday I went there and there was this one guy working the cash register but it looked like he didn't want to be there. I bought 4 soup cups of Marachun shrimp and when I said to him how much for the 4 soups he shouted "IT'S RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF YOU BRO " and I'm like ok wow No need to shout. And I even told the guy "you don't have to shout I'm not deaf my dude ." 7 Eleven I know you guys are making $$ why not spend that on giving out educational classes to those you guys hire because some don't have good customer service skills or respect for the customer cause yesterday I went there to buy some items never expecting to be yelled at. So please 7 Eleven give your employees educational classes on how to treat customers...
Read moreWhenever I come to LAX I would always come here and stop by. Then it changed, some of the employees were rude and loud and didn't greet you. There are some employees I really enjoy seeing. Then now I am used to always coming in to a 7-eleven because they are open. Now I come here they changed again and closes the store and refuses service and it's no longer enjoyable. Oh well, I will just go further and go to my other favorite 7-Eleven. It's out of my way, but at least my services won't be denied or the store closed and deal with rude employees. Like I did this morning at 5 am, where the employee tells you did you not understand me, we are closed goodbye. And now see a hand written sign, saying only door dash and closed. And it's sad seeing all these customers come and stop by to get stuff and see this rude...
