Carlson's Liquor — Local services in Los Angeles

I truly believe that Carlson’s is still in business because Alex (the tall younger guy who works there) is so courteous and professional. The store has not been renovated in who knows how long and is a bit ragged. However, Alex makes you feel that Carlson’s is a new upscale store in the neighborhood. He seems to know every item in the store and suggests good replacements if they do not carry it or if it is out of stock. One thing that I have noticed the times that I have shopped at Carlson’s is how patient and kind he is to all customers. I have seen customers at the register who appear to be homeless as well as customers who appear to have great financial access and they are all treated with respect and care by Alex. Came here in a hurry last minute shopping for beer and wine as we had family members coming over and realized we were out of drink.. I hadn’t been to this store since probably the 80’s.. I was amazed at how it looks like nothings changed there. Still a straight up liquor store except that they had an amazing selection of wine. The young, tall gentleman who helped me there was so knowledgeable, very respectful and kind. I wished I had asked for his name. I had been to other stores in the area where they weren’t so friendly, good to know Carlsons is so close to the house and has such great staff and selection.
