I was in at the same time as reviewer John Munoz (Villanueva). We walked in at the same exact time on Valentine's Day morning, yesterday. This florist is very busy for good reason. Luis, half of the husband-wife duo running the show, explained that on Valentine's Day, walk-in orders are not feasible unless you are willing to wait. He reasoned that there were over a hundred orders ahead of us and it would not be fair to everyone who already ordered and paid weeks or even months in advance. This guy was not happy with this info and stormed off in a big huff. How can you review a business if you haven't even been a customer before? I know they would never turn away a potential customer on any other day. His review, which fails to mention critical details, should not even be posted up as it is in no way accurate for this business.

Anyway, I was happy to wait. There is a reason Darling's Holm & Olson is so busy. Aida always has the best arrangement designs and freshest flowers, and the locals (and plenty not-so-local) know it. My family and friends have been customers for at least 20 years and probably more. Hands down this is the only florist worth visiting in Los Angeles. Any other day I know I can expect to walk in here and within 15 minutes, have the most fragrant, freshest flowers filling my car with their enticing aroma. Great florist! I found them online within my daughters same new zipcode and found the perfect succulent arrangement for her taste on their website. I ordered this on her moving and birthday weekend and they delivered it to her the same day! We live in Massachusetts and send flowers to a friend in L A for her birthday, Christmas, and on other occasions. This means we have never met the staff at Darling's Flowers or seen the arrangements in person, but we have ordered from them for several years and are so pleased with their products and customer service!
