Gimme Gimme Records — Local services in Los Angeles

Found some good records in the shop at good prices. Only thing I was quite offended by is that the cashier would not accept any of my $100 bills because he said the borders were not even and he can get in trouble if it turns out to be fake. I own a business myself and those bills were checked by me at my store with my counterfeit detector so I knew they were real. He had a counterfeit detector next to him and I don’t believe he even ran the bills through it so it was purely an assumption that I was trying to get away with fraud at this shop. That certainly doesn’t make me feel comfortable to shop here again as I was honestly made to feel like a thief when I am not. As a business owner who has been a victim of fraud I would never wish that upon any other business owner so wouldn’t think of doing that to anyone else. Thanks for the deals but that’s definitely the last time...

2 weeks agoWalked in and although there were 3 men attending store, none of them bothered to even acknowledge that I was in the store. Funny answer I got back from so called Owner... So first off, how do you know what day I walked in so that your story is that you were helping other customers? Second, 2 men were sorting record boxes on the floor at the counter area. 1 was stocking records on floor, tall almost 6 foot tall white man with glasses and long hair. No customers until about 5 min and then he was immediately acknowledged. Your business attitude sucks as you should be polite to all customers and not suggest that customers should be the first to innitiate if you or your personnel decide to ignore them. Don't make up stories when you didn't even bother to greet someone at your store. Lousy service even if your music...

well I found this place afterhours.. after a night of bowling down the street, we walked to "la cuevita" and passed by. Had no Idea about this place.. only place I knew in the area was Mount Analog.. so I can to check it out a month later.. let me say.. I never leave empty handed. great selection on everything.. prices are fair! vinyl is clean! dollar bins are always updated and full of goodies! their vinyl plastic sleeves are also really nice (shiny, fit snug). Been here about 5 times since and like I said.. never ever leave empty handed! I love it. I spend a good 2 to 3 hours digging and always outlast everyone that comes and goes! but...
