I purchased a Sundance Chelsee from Pacific Spas and Sauna, after a lot of research (including, of course, reading reviews of the various vendors). Aside from online research, I went to three different stores to "wet test" hot tubs. I can't emphasize enough how critically important this was for me in eventually deciding on the Sundance Chelsee. All hot tubs are not created equal, and while the next best competitor, the Jacuzzi J-345, is a great tub, the jets in the Sundance feel much better to me. This is a very personal choice, and since buying a hot tub is a non-trivial investment (both in terms of upfront cost and long-term care/maintenance), it's important to love what you get.
Robin was incredibly helpful during my decision-making process (in which I wet-tested the Chelsee twice -- she was also very patient with me!). We talked about the differences between the Chelsee and the Jacuzzi model, since she used to sell that brand as well; both in terms of the shape of the seats, and the kind of jets, the tubs are very different, and have attributes that make them better or worse for people depending on their height, girth, etc. I never felt like I was being pushed into making a decision by any of the vendors for the brick & mortar stores (unlike at the "hot tub expo" in Pomona, which felt completely scammy to me).
Now to installation. Reuben and his crew were nothing short of fantastic. The tub was installed, electricity added, electrical inspection passed, all without a hitch. They were fast, efficient, and very knowledgeable and competent. They took great care to make sure all of my questions were answered, both during installation, and even afterwards.
All around, the experience with this store was top notch. If you're looking to buy a hot tub,...
Read moreI purchased my spa at Pacific Spas & Sauna. They are very professional. I had other spa companies give me bids for the same work. They did not have a clue how to do professional installation. The work I had done at my house was extensive. I sunk the spa at ground level which meant I needed a block wall vault built. Drains at the bottom of the vault with drain lines out to the street. Additional drains in back yard and side yard. Concrete and stone work around spa. Concrete work down side yard. 200 amp service replacing 100 amp service to house. I myself am a licensed General Contractor and can appreciate the excellent work they provided for me. It was done in a timely manner as promised. When I once needed warrenty work on the replacment of jets, they were right there for me. I purchase all my chemicals there at a discount price because I purchased my spa there. I have priced other places and I am very pleased with their prices. Robin is always very professional and very polite, as well as all the people working there. I highly recommend this establishment. They never pushed me at the time of purchase. They provided disposable bathing suits to try out their spas to see which one we liked best. Robin also decribed in detail the difference in each spa, strength of jets, etc., etc., I reccomend this...
Read moreVery bad experience with this company. We agreed on a price for a sauna and put a deposit down. The unit was in stock. Reuben said he’d hold the unit until we were ready for the install. He then called and said he wanted to sell unit we put the deposit on. We were not ready for the install but still offered to pay the entire remaining balance to make sure he didn’t sell the unit to someone else. Reuben said we didn’t need to do that. He then called back a few weeks later and said he assembled the unit (why, I’m not sure) and that the unit had a damaged part. He said he had to order a new unit but it was on backorder. It was a complete joke dealing with this guy and his store. We are going find another dealer who doesn’t treat paying customers like this....
