Disappointing and upsetting. After waiting 4 hours and others for 2 to 3 hours the owner of the store and his salesperson opened the store late. Then the owner (he) said he was sold out and that his post said it was sold out and it was Billie Eilish fans problem, sorry. Then he changed his story and said that he would try to get some of Billieâs signed records and was sorry if he did not get some. Then the salesperson (lady) working in the store said it was Billieâs fault for posting the sale date for today and that they did not have any, sorry. Then he said he was sorry he could not sell more than one record per person even after the people that had their family/friend member leave because HE SAID he did not have any. When someone says they are sorry, they say why they are sorry and what they will do to make up for the hurt they caused. The owner was not willing to do that. He would not sell one additional record after standing in line for 2 hours and others for 4 hours. The owner and the lady behind the cash register were rude and were telling their customers they should not have left and it was their fault they did not get their records. This is so disappointing and upsetting that this is the kind of customer service Supervinyl provided to Billie...
Read moreSuper Vinyl on Sycamore is one of those rare spots that feels like an actual record storeâcurated, passionate, and always worth a visit. Tucked just off the main drag in Los Angeles, it manages to be both low-key and deeply impressive. The selection hits that perfect balance of accessible and eclecticâwhether youâre hunting for a clean pressing of a classic like Coltraneâs Blue Train, or digging into something a little weirder from obscure psych or avant-garde jazz, chances are theyâve got it, or they know how to get it.
The staff is incredibly helpful and informed, and that vibe runs through the whole shop whether the owner is around or not. (Though when he is, heâs friendly, welcoming, and clearly still in love with music.) Thereâs no snobbery hereâjust a solid crew who know their stuff and genuinely want to help you find your next great listen.
Beyond records, theyâve also got turntables, accessories, books, a few audio odds and ends, and a curated vibe that makes you want to hang around. Itâs a great spot for crate-digging, music discovery, or just recharging in a space where the love of vinyl still feels real. A proper gem in the LA...
Read moreWhat an amazing first visit to Supervinyl!! Went there to meet Tears For Fears and to buy their new double album.
I waited in line from around 10:30 am to the 2 pm signing time, even though if I had shown up at 2 pm, I would have still be able to participate (Tears For Fears would sign only 200 albums).
There was a coffee shop and bathroom across the street, so the wait was not a problem. Everyone was super friendly.
The meet & greet process was smooth and flawless. The owner and staff were absolutely wonderful! Just a fabulous...
