You want to avoid this store if you might need to return items worth in total over $200. I am a run of the mill consumer, not affiliated with any business. My purchases were for personal use but some didn’t work out. The returns were valued at over $200 and the West Hollywood Target customer service dept and the store manager (Anthony) refused to process returns over their arbitrary $200 figure. This was pursuant to store “guidelines” — not black and white rules, nothing posted anywhere customers could see, but hidden behind the counter in a book of store guidelines. This particular store apparently does a lot of business with the studios and to return more than $200 worth of merchandise these hidden guidelines provide I should call Target’s studio returns dept and make an appointment for my returns. I asked if I could call and make an appointment for right then. I was told I could not. Appointments are only available 2 specific mornings a week (I believe Tuesday and Thursday) between 7-8am or 8-9am. So, as an ordinary working customer, one has to call to make an appointment during most people’s normal work hours. Since no normal customer has any reason to know these guidelines, your returns will take at least 2 trips to Target. While the manager, Anthony, had the authority to bypass these guidelines (he acknowledged this), he outright refused to do so, even though there were 3 employees in the customer service department at that moment doing absolutely nothing. While Target will gladly allow you to make purchases during any of their business hours, this store and this manager will only allow you to return merchandise valued at $200 at any time other than during very short, very inconvenient times of the week, and only if you’ve made an appointment. I highly recommend that you take your business elsewhere. I for one don’t appreciate having my time wasted by the imposition of unadvertised, unstated, “guidelines” which don’t even apply to me (not a studio employee) and which are fully waivable by a manager who actually believes in customer service — Anthony, Service and Engagement Team Lead at the West Hollywood Target Store #1884 did not feel inclined to serve a customer and was clearly enjoying the power to refuse to process my returns. I for one won’t be patronizing this store again.I suggest you avoid this...
Read moreAs you can see from other recent reviews, there was an unfortunate decrease in the quality of the customer service at this location. I've been to this location many times and now it's a mess. Anyway, today I scheduled time at the end of my day to shop for some clothing for work, I went in with the intention of buying more than I usually do, since I was planning to buy for myself and for work. After wasting a lot of time selecting what I wanted, I noticed the fitting room was closed. I asked an employee if I could use it, he said they close at 7pm (it was a little bit after 7pm), but he didn't sound very convincing, it honestly sounded like he said that just so I would go away. So, I asked another employee if I could talk to the manager, he directed me to Guest Services. When I got to Guest services, there was no line and no customers, only 4 employees behind the counter looking like they were in high school hanging out (which probably in their heads they were). So, I asked for the manager, one of them identified himself (he was a tall, young guy with glasses). I asked him if I could use the fitting room, he said there was supposed to be someone there, I said there wasn't and that the other guy said they close at 7pm, he said "yeah sure, they close at 7pm" I asked him "so I cannot try any of the clothing I want to buy?" he answered "no you cannot" with a demeanor that pretty much said "I couldn't care less". So, I said " you really don't care do you?" he and the others around him smile as he said in a sarcastic tone "have a good day, sir". Anyway, so the point is: this happened on a Monday night, the store was empty, the guest services was empty, the guy that was supposed to be the Manager couldn't have the common sense, since he wasn't doing anything to open the fitting room? Couldn't he at least get someone to help me? Is it true that the store closes at 10pm, but the fitting room closes 3 hours before????? All of this explains why the store was empty. I will never be back...
Read moreSo I went to this target being new to the neighborhood thinking this is probably gonna be a good store with good customer service. I was right about the store but the 3 employees that helped me were not at all what I'd expect from target and especially in this area. Did my small shopping, went to wait at the check out, and a lady named Rossa took me and told me she´d help me. She also said to me "let's start u up on a new account. Come over here." I really did want to open some sort of discount membership with target, being that I was probably going to come here often. She took me to another register with another female employee and asked for my ID. Before giving it to her I asked if I open it today will I get the discount? They both answered yes. I gave it to both of them then a rather long sign up process was brought up on the atm thingy. And in the middle of filling it out, I noticed it said that I am applying for a new credit card. I didn't ask for this, nor did any of them tell me this. I then told her I don't need one, and that I don't have any credit or an income right now. I came in with a backpack full of patches, torn sleeves, and a skateboard. Do I really look like I need a credit card?? Then while I'm filling out the rest of the credit card sign up the two female employees begin to speak Spanish to one another in their normal voice and are gossiping about another employee getting a raise and how they didn't. Assuming that I don't speak Spanish. Very low class. Then I pay thinking it's over and I didn't even get the discount!!! Nor did I find out if I qualify or not. Which I won't. WORST PART OF ALL was Rossa then told me that she was gonna set me up with yet another employee for a "quick survey". Horrible experience. Oh, and the deodorant I got was 10 bucks, it said 4 and some change on the price, now I have to go back and...
