Fat Tomato Pizza — Restaurant in Los Angeles

This place is absolutely wonderful! The pizza is made fresh, great toppings, great dough too. It’s not like a dry cracker but it’s not a whole loaf of bread under there either. It’s the perfect amount of dough, and is perfectly cooked too. The sauce actually tastes like tomatoes, and has the acidity/ sweetness / salty balance on point.

A huge stand-out there to me too is their Caesar salad; the dressing specifically. You can tell they actually make it there. It’s the best Caesar salad I’ve had in years!

The atmosphere is quiet, and there’s always parking, even on a Saturday night.

And to top everything off, Sue was incredibly accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable too. She even gave us a rec for a great ice cream place down the street after talking for a bit.

Not only were the pizza, wings and mozz sticks delicious, the owners were incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. Being an east coaster, I can be a little picky about my pizza. This was very close to perfect — thin, crispy crust with a great bite and structural integrity. You can tell the owner really cares about what they give to the customer, too. She helped us with the menu, when bringing out the pizza, she turned around to include some chopped basil (wanted it to be perfect for us) and she even gave me and my girlfriend complimentary waters and a Caesar salad. Felt like we were eating at a family member’s house. She even talked with us a bit at the end of our meal and she made us feel very welcomed. This is hands down my favorite pizza place. The service is AMAZING and the pizza is the best in town. They are so nice and truly go above and beyond for their customers. I have eaten here and ordered from here several times and every single time it’s delicious. The chicken bites are super addicting too, and they’re gluten free!! Their gluten free pizza is beyond good, and that’s hard to do! This is the ONLY place I get pizza from now!
