Read moreI always can tell a good yoga studio based on how quickly/if the yoga teachers take the time to remember new people’s names and at Urban 728 several of the teachers knew my name after only one class with them. Very indicative of the level of care and dedication that the studio and teachers infuse in both the space and community. From a practical perspective, the location is very easy to get to (it was walking distance for me) but they also offer free lot parking and metered street parking if you’re a drive away. They only have one yoga studio room but it is super spacious and I never felt too crowded even with 20 people in a class. I liked the modern/minimalist design which feels clean and new. Oh and the fact that they have shower & changing areas (as I’m someone who 100% needs to shower after a hot yoga session) was a definite plus to me. Most of the classes all had a similar style (they call it Urban Flo 60) which is basically a heated vinyasa flow but each teacher was still able to make it their own which I liked. Signing up through the website/app for classes was very easy and they almost always have several morning classes with a few in the afternoon/evening. Overall, I would highly recommend Urban 728 for anyone looking for a hot yoga studio that offers a good community, knowledgeable teachers, and a yoga style which I’d describe (in my limited knowledge of yoga) as modern but still in touch with the more traditional roots of...
Read moreWriting for a friend who doesn’t have a google account: I just had the most incredible and transformative class at Yoga 728! My teacher, Taylor was FANTASTIC. I could tell immediately that she is a well accomplished yogi herself. I am more of a beginner so I was a bit nervous and she welcomed me with such grace and enthusiasm and I felt right at home. I have a previous injury that I made her aware of and she was incredibly attentive and gave me excellent guidance on how to navigate my flow in a way that protected my injury and gave me great tips gently so that I felt comfortable and safe. The vibe of the class was so pure and healing, I bet a lot of regulars sign up for her classes specifically, I know I certainly will be attending her classes moving forward. 12/10 experience, thank...
