I came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and didn't need a reservation. The service was great! They were very attentive and helpful with their suggestions!!

Now onto the amazing part: THE SUSHI! +HYE: minced fatty yellowtail sushi, sesame truffle oil, wasabi, Black Sea salt. So delicious! Each flavor complemented each other very well! +Alba Alba Roll: spicy albacore, albacore sashimi, crispy onions, garlic ponzu. Delicious and comes with 8 well sized pieces. +Toro nigiri: what is there to say? Toro is delicious! +Salmon nigiri: it's salmon nigiri. You can't go wrong with this choice. +Stripjack nigiri: this was in stock the day we went and this was wonderful. It was very fresh and had a lot of layers to the flavor. +Chirashi bowl: tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, crab, spicy tuna and yellow tail. The fish was very fresh. And quite a healthy portion of each! +Blue fin tuna: the chef whipped this up for us as an on the house treat, and this was mind blowing! Just like the HYE, this was a perfect one-bite treat.

Note: I didn't have to use soy sauce for any of these dishes; they're perfect just the way the chef makes it!!!! I'll definitely be back soon!!

Parking tip: metered parking or...

I was driving for DoorDash for several hours without a break and accepted an order from this restaurant, even though it was about 6 miles out of my way. After hours of nonstop driving, I really needed to use the restroom — something that is normally never an issue at restaurants, especially when drivers are picking up orders and helping bring them business.

To my surprise, I was told the restroom was “only for customers” and was denied access. This has never happened to me before in my years of delivery driving. I think it’s both outrageous and inhumane to refuse someone such a basic human need, especially when we are out working long hours to deliver food for them.

Because of this, I canceled the order. I simply cannot support a business that treats people this way. A restaurant should understand that delivery drivers are essential partners and also human beings with needs. Denying restroom access is not just inconvenient — it’s disrespectful.

If you care about basic decency and respect for workers, I would avoid this place. Their mean-spirited rules show exactly how little they...

My girlfriend and I found Tsuri on Reddit, and decided to try it out- great Sushi!!! And amazing customer service. My girlfriend also has to avoid gluten (celiac) and it can be very difficult to find sushi without gluten- and if we come across it, it’s usually dry and not good. But Tsuri had it dialed- they were educated about what items have gluten, and all rolls can be made gluten free other than fried rolls. They have gf ponzu and tamari so nothing is dry and bland. Very flavorful rolls-gf and not! To tie up the night, Wendy (the owner) chatted with us. She was great to talk to and made it feel like a personal experience. Highly...

Came here on Valentine's Day and the food and service were superb. This was our first time here and we will definitely coming back. Everything we ordered was soooo good. Started with the Toro sashimi which was so fresh and buttery. Next a few orders of saba and hirame sushi and then a hot dish the miso cod. Portion size for the cod was very generous. Every bite was mouth watering. I also ordered the udon as I was craving soup on a cold night and the flavors and noodles hit the spot. Only downside is parking but it's expected for this area. If you can find street parking on Melrose you are a winner

Unexpectedly good. Usually I don't expect too much from US sushi joints. At Tsuri the server did not even know what umeshu is or most of the sushi names in Japanese even though they were right there in the menu. But then she brought the order and it was the best ootoro I had in the States to date. Other stuff we tried was pretty good too (their fish is superb which plays a huge role in it). Definitely on par with decent places in Japan (more expensive on most of the stuff though, but taking into account airfare savings...) Definitely recommend to stop by if you are nearby.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here- pre-Covid days and I was excited to try it again. My friend and I ordered the sushi omakase and we were disappointed when we ate the first tray of four that came out. The rice felt old and dry, and the sushi tasted thin and rubbery. The second tray had two that tasted fresher and more moist, but overall we were disappointed especially because we love sushi. We also both had abnormal bowel movements afterwards and didn’t feel the best after dinner. Unfortunately probably won’t come back, but glad everyone else likes it.
