Other gyms in LA don't even come close. I've belonged to Equinox, Golds etc, and VBC blows them out of the water. I came in as (and still am) a novice weight lifter. In most places this would be intimidating - not at VBC.

The coaches are friendly and teach you in a positive way, never shaming you or talking down like a lot of gyms out there. I've gotten exponentially stronger since joining, and it's only been a couple of months!

Aside from the positive atmosphere, new and CLEAN equipment, great community, and the fact that you will indefinitely become stronger while having a good time... this is the best deal for training in Los Angeles.

For the price of admission you also have access to Paradiso CrossFit (one of, if not the best CF gyms in LA) all for this price? You have to be kidding me. It's the best.

Finally, for the ladies out there, membership is probably split down the middle of men and women - it's not a bunch of meatheads and you will be treated with respect...

If you're looking to challenge yourself with a type of fitness you never thought you'd ever try, Venice Barbell Club is the perfect place to check out. The coaching staff is amazing and they know how to work with anyone from beginners to more experienced high-level athletes. VBC has such an amazing community of people who are very supportive and you'll make lifelong, quality friends here, which is an anomaly in a city like LA. Olympic Weightlifting has changed me in so many ways - I no longer work out, I "train." I no longer diet, I fuel my body so that I can perform better (and I eat so much more now). I highly recommend stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new - the hard work you'll put in here...

Venice Barbell Club is an awesome Olympic weightlifting gym that is super clean with great new equipment.
