Venice Plants — Local services in Los Angeles

This guy has beautiful plants. I was so excited to work with him. My friends in the area have plants from him and recommended him. When I got there for the first time I was just looking and asked a lot of questions as I am new to plants. When I left he told his wife loud enough so I could hear 'didn't I tell you she wouldn't get anything.' Two days later I went back ready to buy and he looked at me like I was scum. I asked a question and he ignored me and then he burst out saying how confusing and frustrating it is that I didn't know what I wanted. I asked why he couldn't have more patience with me and help me with my purchase but he wouldn't even look at me. I left super upset and bummed. Tried to have compassion for the guy. Maybe he was having a bad week but I felt so badly treated. I hope he reads this and shapes up because that's terrible energy to be putting out into the world. His prices are very high so if I am to make a big investment with him I'd hope to cultivate a nice relationship. That's obviously not important to him at all and...

I bought a fiddle leaf fig from Venice Plants about 6 weeks ago. I’m new to plants and this was a big purchase for me. The water meter I bought was showing that the dirt was moist, so I wasn’t watering it, but when the leaves started turning brown and falling off, I assumed root rot. I came into Venice Plants for soil and they told me to bring it in and they’d help out with the root rot. I returned with the plant, they saw it was way too dry, and gave me a full plant care lesson and then the owner even swapped out my fig with a new one because he said it would take a while for my fig to look pretty again. These guys have a fowl mouth. They said I didn't by a $40 cactus from them which has parasites and when I said I did and I would leave my review elsewhere, a younger man working there told me to suck his ..... and to get out of there b**ch. what kind of business handles complaints this way?? Not one I'll go to. I bought a cactus there that has had bugs for weeks. They bad mouthed the place north of them on Venice and the cactus I have from them, parasite-less.
