Deep in Atwater Village you'll find this 82 year old neighborhood staple tucked in between the areas unique houses and an elementary school. The market sells your usual wares, but all the way to the back of the shop is a deli where pretty much everything is under $5. There's a menu of house specials and you can also customize you're own. The quality of the meat and cheese's is nothing special, but for $3.50 I got a simple, nostalgic and filling sandwich. There's very few places in LA you can still find something like that, so it does feel like you're taking a step back in time. I can honestly say I can only review the ham and cheese sandwich which has been my go to for about 30 years. I will usually add avocado to really make the sandwich shine even more.
