Carmichael's Bookstore — Local services in Louisville

I love this store💖. The store is not as big as Books a Million, but in this case size doesnt matter! Carmichael's Bookstore has alot of variety, the staff is polite and helpful, the books are new, prices are great, and the store is clean! One of my favorite things to do is to go on line to look for a book in advance. There are many varieties of books pertaining to the subject (all listed with prices) and if its not in the store you can order it. The site tells you how long it will take to be delivered to the store for pick up. I never desire to have it delivered to my home so check out the site or call the store for those details. Busy Bardtown road is where its located so if youre in that area check them out. The abundance of book packed shelves, and unique gifts in this smaller space makes you feel as though you're browsing someone's personal library that they've spent their lifetime building. Pair that with the extremely helpful and friendly staff, and you've got one of my favorite places to go in Louisville! The staff are more than willing to give suggestions, and patiently search for a book you're looking for, even when all you know is the title of one of the characters and the genre it belongs in! Carmichael’s is my absolute favorite local bookstore and will always hold a special place in my heart! The staff and booksellers are always so welcoming and friendly, willing to help with any questions. (They are also always happy when I bring my dog in, which is an added bonus). Carmichael’s is all about inclusivity and they are active in the community as well in many different ways. They truly practice what they preach.
