Iâm writing this on behalf of my boyfriend, who has endured two incredibly frustrating and borderline unsafe situations while living at this apartment complex â and management has done next to nothing to help.
First, his air conditioning was completely out during this summers brutal heat wave with temperatures around 100°F. He submitted multiple maintenance requests and was in constant contact with management, but they continuously pushed the issue off. When HVAC technicians (a completely separate company from the apartmentâs management) finally came out, they admitted that management had instructed them to only add refrigerant as a temporary 20-minute fix, rather than actually solve the root of the problem. My boyfriend would have brief moments of relief before the A/C shut down again.
Thankfully, the HVAC team stepped in and did the right thing: they fully repaired the issue, going against the minimal âband-aidâ solution they were told to apply. Weâre genuinely grateful to those technicians for finally addressing it, their customer service was brilliant and what the apartments management team should be practicing, it NEVER should have taken that long, or required that kind of resistance to managementâs instructions in the first place. Management would excuse it as them having too much to manage around the property, but basic living conditions should be accommodated when rent is paid by the tenant. To make matters worse, he has a registered emotional support animal who had to suffer through the extreme heat as well. Management showed no compassion, no urgency, and made no meaningful attempt to accommodate or prioritize the health and well-being of either of them.
Second, my boyfriend has a health condition that makes secondhand smoke dangerous â yet his neighbor constantly smokes marijuana indoors, and the smoke regularly seeps into his apartment. Heâs submitted countless complaints about this, and again, managementâs response has been surface-level at best. Theyâve done nothing substantial to protect his right to breathe clean air in his own home despite their lease agreement of tenant disturbances , and what apartment complex allows smoking inside their complex in general?
Weâve also come to learn that other complexes managed by the same company are part of a state-level lawsuit due to the ongoing neglect and poor living conditions many tenants have reported. Based on everything weâve experienced, it honestly doesnât surprise me.
Bottom line: this is not a safe, healthy, or professionally managed environment. If you care about your physical health, your mental well-being, or just basic decency, Iâd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The management wears fake smiles while the enjoy their air conditioned office and lack the human decency to accommodate to their tenants who pay to live under certain...
Read moreI don't like to review places, but I would like to share my experience in this complex. The apartment where I have lived for almost 15 months has been the worst leasing experience I have ever had. Property maintenance sucks. I'm not talking about the people; It is an old construction. The staff is usually friendly, sometimes they are rude, like today when I handed over my apartment keys. Maybe that's why I decided to tell my experience. After many issues in the apartment they ask me to pay for the gym key, I don't remember if they gave it to me and there is nothing signed. I rented it online; I didn't live in KY. When I moved into my apartment I was greeted by an infestation of cockroaches, a leak in a water faucet and missing pieces of the interior of the refrigerator, they quickly resolved the last two things. As the weeks passed, we had clogs in the bathroom and kitchen, and the Dirty water from other apartments went up through pipes, which happened SEVERAL TIMES, it was disgusting. That has been the biggest and most frequent problem. Over time we had leaks on the bathroom floor, it took them a week to make it new. I asked them to change my apartment and they told me that there were no apartments available at that time and that I would have to pay if I broke the contract. Recently, I had two days with leaks in the common hallway and the water went to my apartment, the sink clogged again and the neighbor's dirty water coming out of my sink, the carpet got wet and they brought two noisy machines into the apartment, one to dry the carpet and the other to remove the water that seeped into the floor. The machines had been inside the apartment for two days without stopping. Thereafter, the staff gave me the option to use the model apartment for a while or break the contract and leave. I didn't accept one or the other. Changing apartments momentarily does not solve the problem and I couldnât leave because I didnât have a place at that time. My lease was ending in less than a month and I already had my new lease in another place. This place is not the cheapest, and the company must respect the renters. Do not rent a place that is not habitable for human beings. I uploaded some photos and videos as evidence of...
Read moreI can't recommend living here. You should consider other options before coming here. I've lived here a few years now and the most recent company that bought the complex has handled just about everything worse than the previous (and the previous company already wasn't what I would consider good either). Maintenance orders take far too long to get taken care of, and when they are taken care of they are rarely properly taken care of, and they are never followed up on to make sure things were even fixed at all. Even if you call the emergency line outside of normal business hours chances are they'll just say there's nothing they can do and they'll get someone over the next business day, so if you have water pouring out of your sink on a Friday night enjoy your weekend tending to it yourself). The common areas are not maintained at all, and half of the washing machines and dryers on property are broken at any given time. Recently, in the middle of winter, they cut off the power to the entire building to do maintenance on, which would be understandable but what wasn't okay is the incredibly little notice given to everyone and the 0 support or communications during the ordeal, surely this is something they had planned further out than a day before due to how big the whole operation was, but you only get 1 day to make accommodations to be without power for the next 48 hours in the middle of winter. Currently I'm on day 5 of no hot water. The maintenance tickets I submit get marked as completed even though no one has even attempted to contact me and when I call the office there's no answer and despite leaving multiple voice mails there's no one calling me back. There's just so many problems at these apartments and very little support or assistance getting anything remedied. Once you've signed your lease it feels like management will do their best to avoid you and the problems with their buildings. The only reason I'm giving this 2 starts instead of 1 is because I've been able to tolerate it through my lease. The attached pictures are of a leak in the bathroom ceiling after maintenance came and fixed it, and the others are of the broken door closers to the building making them stay open...
