In the quest for a dance studio, it was vital that they embraced my daughter's racial and cultural identity. D4Life acknowledged this early on, recognizing the distinctiveness of their bodies and movements in contrast to their counterparts. Concerns about extended hours right before the recital and developmentally appropriate engagement developed, but we attributed them to their first experience working with 3-year-olds or our newness to the dance studio.

D4Life excels in ballet technique, evident in their impressive traveling team. My daughter gained essential foundational elements for her growth as a dancer. Despite the skilled and graceful dance instructor assigned and responsible for our daughter's development, the unprofessional behavior of the owner and her daughter marred my experience. Their inability to handle feedback and rudeness towards parents and the elderly is widely known. Witnessing such behavior from studio leadership is disheartening.

My husband and I reached out to the owner via email at the start of July, seeking a conversation about the positive experiences and to share feedback, but we received no response. This level of disrespect is concerning. Numerous other alternatives are available that prioritize constructive dialogue and openness to feedback. It's essential that we set an example for our daughter by embracing these values, which should be an integral part of any reputable institution. These girls work tirelessly and put so much pure devotion and dedication to every aspect of each show they do, having the pleasure of being in rehearsals and the studio watching them all grow and learn is just amazing. Such talent. Hats off to each of you, each student and bead of sweat is a testament to the professionalism and love Chauntee and staff have from the first day of rehearsals to the final bow and I am so honored to always be asked to be a part of your productions and even to collaborate with you.
