Any night here is a great fun night!!! Monday Karaoke Nights are what I love the most, you are welcome to sing anything you want and have a great night with friends! The pool table in the back is open most nights unless being used for an event, the food truck has the best banging food from burgers, to hot dogs, totchos (in photo), mozzarella sticks and even $1 Wings on Mondays nights hand made and seasoned by Chef Keevis!! The drinks are always good, you can order whatever you want from a simple vodka cran, redbull mixed drink, liquid marijuana (in photo), to their drink specials which includes all fun names and all fun drinks if you just look around the bar they have all specials around incase you arenât sure what youâd like!! Tuesdays, you have bingo with Titzilla!! Itâs like regular bingo.. but with a slight dirty twist where instead of winning gift cards to stores & restaurants, you can win any type of sex toy of youre liking, as well as shorts, shirts, gift cards to His & Her Boutique (where the toys come from) Wednesday is Comedy Open Mic Night where you may either sign up for a chance to make everyone bust out laughing (you can own youâre own set tape for just $5), OR just come out on the free night and enmity some laughs and good eats/drinks!! Thursdayâs are the best!! Iâm sure everyone knows about the theme for thursday nights, but incase you do not, it is a fun way to interact with others, show off your style and dance your heart away!! There is a cover charge normally around $10-$20 so just keep that in mind, but there is NO cover charges on Mondays and Wednesdays. If you come for Karaoke on Monday night and come to Bingo the next night on Tuesday, you will recieve extra bingo cards!! If Tuesday is the first night you are coming that week you will just have to at least buy a drink to be able to play bingo that way you can earn a card!! Fridays and Saturdays depends on the theme for that night just keep in mind you will have a cover fee!! Also, donât forget your IDs⊠they WILL card you!!!! Also, just a friendly heads up, itâs a big family oriented place and everyone just cares and looks out for eachother, if you have a problem with someone, just let STAFF know and someone will handle it!! If you do not say anything we will not know what is going on. Also also, if you hear or see something you probably think needs to be told to someone, TELL SOMEONE ON STAFF!!!!!! They will help, im telling ya, but you just gotta at least let someone know. Okay, thatâs all, but yeah I love everyone at Bar 13 and I love everyone on the Truck 13....
Read moreThis is going to be a very loooong review. Back in 2014/2016 (can't remember lol, I had a co worker mention me about this bar. At the time I was searching for a gothic/ industrial event and I didn't know this place had it. I am from Florida who use to be a former dancer in the nightclub called The Castle. There was an event on a Wednesday that my co worker had me attend because her boyfriend at the time use to perform in a band. When I attended the bar, I saw a flyer that had a goth event and I checked out the following day. I was really excited to check it out and I was comfortable. The owner Matt and I had a discussion about the bar which was pretty cool to learn how Asylum 13 began. He had thought I was uncomfortable which I wasn't I was observing the venue for my sister who wanted to play with her band. (Sadly they broke up.) As I frequently visit the venue, the DJ's have been a HIT or a Miss with there music taste. I was expecting some good music but certain DJ's tend to repeat songs in a session of the night. I find that annoying. I stopped going there for a while and decide to visit again and Matt the owner ignored me when I smiled and say hi and tried to talk to him. It was like back to stranger mode. I started to get a little uncomfortable when I later this year attended the asylum event. The people there at the bar are nice and some just have a terrible attitude. I invited my friend who isn't white come visit me and the people who were there that night made it awkward with there seized ups, disgust looks and racial slurs. We ignored it as we tried to have fun and thats what matters the most. It was like I should not belong here. The big bald dude who was there when I was took pictures and gave me this weird look as if I should not be there. I didn't care because I was not there for them and only there to have fun, enjoy music with my friend and be loud. I wish the bar was a bit bigger and the parking lot was easier to park as I always have to walk across the street and constantly worry not to get my car tolled. I know the owners are busy making sure that the place is comfortable for everyone, but I do feel they need to sort of remember there regulars even if they come back here and there. Overall, this place is a good spot to enjoy and have fun listening to music, attend events (Dirty Sexy Bingo is AWESOME) but not to make friends if your not from the area. (Some reason people are afraid to talk to new...
Read moreWas excited to find out this place was near my house. Went in on a Friday night around 7:45 8/1 for their happy hour and was planning to stay awhile depending on how I ended up liking it. Food truck outside seemed good so I thought this may be a new regular place. I walked in and someoneâs glasses and container was sitting in between two seats so I wasnât sure what seat they were in and if there was two or one people there. I was not trying to steal their seats, just determine what seat I should sit at that would leave one in between us. The bartender came towards me and I pointed at the stuff asking where I could sit and the bartender very very rudely and sarcastically said to me â yes someoneâs sitting there thatâs what someoneâs stuff there meansâ I was so taken aback at the attitude I got at asking a simple question, especially as a new comer who was just trying to get a lay of the land. I almost left after that comment but at that point I figured I had already planned my night around coming here. I sat down and asked the bartneder if I could get anything on tap with happy hour and she let me know they werenât doing happy hour. Between that and the horrible service I decided to leave I told her thank you and sorry (which I shouldnât have done) and as I walked away she muttered lord knows what on the same horrible tone she gave me earlier which leads me to believe it was something not so nice. Even though I came for the happy hour, I probably wouldâve still stayed if not for some of the worst attitude Iâve ever been given in my life. Happy hour is advertised as Monday - Friday 6-8 and there was no posting on social media or their website indicating otherwise. The bartender was a heavier white woman with short green hair and glasses. Someone should talk to her about how to greet people kindly and with respect. My first time experience was unfortunately soured by this terrible interaction. I hate to suggest it but as a black woman and walking into a bar where I saw no one that looked like me, I hope that wasnât the reason. Or maybe that would be better, that would make a lot more sense over getting treated so nastily. Safe to say this will be my first...
