As a walk-in client today, I had the pleasure of experiencing what can only be described as a top-tier barbershop visit at this newly opened establishment, which has been in operation for just three weeks. From the moment I entered, I was impressed by the sheer spaciousness and pristine cleanliness of the shop—a clear indicator of attention to detail and pride in presentation. The environment exudes an upscale, contemporary vibe, supported by high-end, professional-grade equipment that is all brand new. This alone inspires confidence in the level of service provided.

The entire barbering staff—four in total—extended warm, professional greetings, each shaking my hand and welcoming my wife with genuine courtesy. It’s rare to find such a strong team dynamic with uniformly respectful and unobtrusive demeanor. Their professionalism and interpersonal decorum are clearly aligned with best practices in client hospitality and grooming etiquette.

As someone who is admittedly discerning when it comes to my haircuts, I can be a challenge to please. However, my barber executed a nearly flawless taper fade and trim, demonstrating exceptional technical skill and precision. The blend was seamless, with no hard lines or stray hairs—a testament to a disciplined hand and a perfectionist’s mindset. The time invested—just under an hour—was well spent, and every minute contributed to a result that met, and arguably exceeded, my high expectations.

While the $35 base price (which came to $42 with gratuity) may be on the premium end of the local spectrum, the value proposition is evident. In this case, the adage holds true: you get what you pay for. The quality of craftsmanship, the ambiance, and the professional conduct of the staff justify the cost without question.

Additional kudos for the ample parking space—wide, accessible, and thoughtfully laid out. It’s reassuring not to worry about your vehicle while you’re receiving services.

I'd heard glowing reviews of City Cuts in Kutztown, so when they opened a second location in Macungie, I couldn't wait to bring my boys there. All of the barbers were so friendly, giving my boys fist bumps and chatting with them. My boys were delighted when they found out that they could earn money by reading to the barbers during their haircuts - what a phenomenal idea! The barber took his time to make sure he understood what I was looking for. I do think he was slightly less experienced than some of the other barbers, and my 6-year-old's haircut didn't have as much of a blend as I would have liked, and there were a few stray long hairs that I had to trim at home. I highly recommend City Cuts! My 18 month old is hit or miss with haircuts and today was the worst he has been for a cut. However, Luis was amazing! He was so patient and caring when working with my son. Both Geo and Jerry also were helping to cheer him up. These guys are incredibly top notch and so friendly. You can truly tell how much they care about their shop and customers. The entire shop was clean too, I am so grateful to have found this place!
