Customer service is so important and Hobby Lobby fails in this department. I called ahead to make sure they had an item I needed for the following day in stock.
They said it was, so I bum rushed over there to grab it at 7:54 before they closed at 8. I asked two girls where the item would be, and they directed me to a general area but couldn’t tell me which aisle.
I got to the area and quickly scanned aisle by aisle for exactly what I needed. I ask another employee and they couldn’t direct me to specifically where it was.
7:59. The lady over loudspeaker started the process of telling customers the store is closed and to make the way to the register. I still haven’t found what I needed and came across one last person I haven’t asked yet. I asked her where this one thing was and she told me the store is closed and I wasn’t allowed to shop anymore.
Are. You. Kidding. Me.
I understand that it’s not cool to shop after hours because it delays everything else for all the employees to do their closing duties. But I called ahead. I asked four employees where to find what I needed. And then I was told I couldn’t buy it.
I’ll search Amazon next time and get it delivered...
Read moreI can almost always find what I want and I love being able to use the 40 percent off coupons. I also love that the paper craft supplies and agenda 52 supplies are on sale every other week.
However a large portion of the staff need to be trained in customer service. The last couple times my experience with them was negative. The most recent was overhearing 2 ladies discussing how they prefer to only wait on 'religious' people since IT IS A CHRISTIAN store. I am not sure how buying craft supplies is a religious activity but that is very poor customer service and not a very good representation of their religious beliefs.
The time before there were 3 registers open, all with long lines. The first 1 I got in had a young female cashier and seeing a long line said she was closed because it was time for her to go. She said we should go down to the cashier at the far end. He did the same thing! Everyone ended up having to go to the returns line to get checked out. The man who was working kept apologizing for the wait but it was not his...
Read moreI have been to Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago. This time I brought my 12 year old daughter and 2 year old son. My daughter wanted to get beads and string for a bracelet. She was pretty impressed. I told her that I would take her to one of the best crafting material place. The store is very big, but it is easy to locate what you need and also the employees are very helpful. They have faux flowers that look real, beads, paint, canvases, baking goods, fabric, faux fur, seasonal and holiday crafts, wooden things to paint or decorate anyway you want to, wedding crafts, craft containers, toys, vases, glass jars, stickers, pretty much every crafting material or idea you come up with. It is decently priced and such an inspiration for so many crafting ideas. It is definitely a must for the ultimate or even...
