Past month or so, this place is going downhill. I've been there twice in the past month. The first time, I called in my order and was put on hold for 10 minutes, so I eventually hung up and called back. I ordered two sandwiches and picked up my order. After getting home, they forgot to give me the wife's sandwich. I called back and they said they'd comp me a sandwich in the future because I didn't have time that day to go back.
The second time I went, I was put on hold for 5 minutes, the girl picked up and told me to keep holding... 5 minutes later I just drove to the store with my phone still on hold. Showed them at the counter I was still on hold after 20 minutes thinking maybe it'd help them realize they need a better call waiting system. I explained to them I had a comped sandwich from the one I paid for but didn't receive last visit, so they made me a sandwich and I left. Later that day pretty sure I had some type of food poisoning. Not sure whether it was intentional or not.
Will never be returning....
Read moreI was a little iffy trying this place because to be honest I am born and raised in NYC which is known for their bagels, pizza and heroes (aka hoagies) so my expectations weren’t high, it’s very hard to find food in Pennsylvania that is close to NYCs standards . Don’t even get me started on what this state calls pizza. But to get to the real review. I was AMAZED when I got home and saw my sandwich. It’s delicious and it’s so close to the quality of a NYC sandwich. I was beyond happy!! I see people complaining about the price but $10.99 to me is cheap. The size of their sandwiches and how much meat they pack onto them would easily cost you over $12.00 in NY.
The bread is so fresh and just all the ingredients are tasty. I occasionally make trips back to my hometown just to get some pizza/sandwiches but now I can honestly say I don’t need to worry too much about sandwiches. I’ve ordered three times in the last week and a half because of how good they are and...
Read moreThe hoagies are good. But. Having moved from PHL, we needed a replacement for Slack’s (once right around the corner). We were pleasantly surprised when a Primo opened up in Trexlertown. However, it falls far flat from our experiences in Fishtown and South Philly. The sandwiches are on par - but they take forever to make. It was the same in Philly but they had the excuse of only one sandwich maker. With at least three, you wouldn’t expect service to be so painfully slow. Beyond that, service is seriously lacking. Trying to call an order in? Forget about it. My calls haven’t been picked up or I’m left “on hold” listening to three orders being placed in store before I decide to hang up. We’d love to give you our business, you just don’t show that you want it. Skimming over the other reviews, I wonder if you want to stay open -...
