Happy to see I am not losing my mind and completely off-base thinking the bartender is extremely unpleasant and openly rude, while browsing other reviews. Our family visited this establishment ready to watch Game 1 of the NBA Finals, but our excitement was quickly dampened by the visible inconvenience we caused the bartender. We kindly asked two servers if we could have at least one TV turned to ABC, and while seated in the bar area, we witnessed the apparent annoyance of the female bartender, who seemed to be the only one able to make this happen (one server made it very clear “she” would get to it when she was available). (We arrived 20 minutes prior to tip off, dressed in team gear and remained patient to view the game in hopes of hanging for the evening.)
On a positive note, the new server (good luck!) being trained was great and very attentive as well as the training server. The food was typical pub-style fare; we pushed through a blt cheesesteak with bacon bits, an over-cooked chicken salad, and chicken fingers/fries for the kids (no, your kids won’t like them, they are the kind that make your child mad at you!), knowing addressing any of this would ultimately get us know where, said a family who appreciates kind service workers, and also knows sometimes you just have off days! However, we were caught off guard one final time as we were ready to bounce by the unspoken Non-Cash Adjustment Fee, which sent those annoyance vibes right back at ya, 1760!
Overall, while the new server's service (and her trainer server) was commendable, the experience was marred by the unwelcoming environment and unexpected fee! Definitely shattered the Max Regal legacy and put the “x” on trying to make this an impressionable neighborhood spot for our sport loving son! - we got out of there to watch the game at home and be annoyed by our next of kin, much...
Read moreI went here on 9/30/16 at around 5-6pm and sat at the bar with a friend I was visiting. The first female bartender we encountered was not very friendly and gave off the feeling that she did not enjoy her job very much. After finishing my first beer, it took 10 minutes to get served a second beer when they weren't even that busy. There were 4-5 employees standing 3 feet away from me, and completely ignoring me. The bar tender wearing glasses and sporting a red and black tattoo on his right arm walks over, grabs my finished beer, doesn't say a word and comes back with a fresh beer... However, I never wanted another beer.. I wanted a mixed drink, but I gladly drank it anyways, as I was happy to be drinking something at a bar. After finishing that beer, I tried to order another one, at which time the bartender with glasses and a red and black tattoo on his right arm completely blew me off as he was too busy going in the back and responding to a text. Thankfully, a very friendly male bartender saw that I needed another drink and happily provided me with one.
This is my first bad review I have ever written, but I thought the majority of the bartenders were lazy, rude, and just not very good at their job. Minus the friendly male bartender with slight facial hair. It's one thing to mess up an order, it's one thing to be busy, but to be blatantly not tending to customers, is just not acceptable.
Oh yes, and the employee with glasses and a red and black tattoo on his right arm made a very poor looking mixed drink for another customer. He tasted it with a straw and said, "wow that's bad".. and continued to have the...
Read moreFood was good - not great. Normal pub. Reserved ahead of time for party of 10. Company Christmas brunch we work virtually so are very happy to see one another. All was okay until we asked our waitress for a 2nd picture. Her demeanor changed as she snarled I have to take care of my food. No issue with us as you are a waitress. After that any request was answered with attitude . Another waitress even gave us mean glares while walking by (weird). Then a large party of LAWN & Maintenance men were seated directly behind us. (So close I couldn’t squeeze between the 2 tables without asking others to scoot in). A few minutes later the party leaves. Our waitress comes over to us and states the party left because of us being too loud and that we needed to lower our voices. We felt it was time for us to go as we were clearly no longer wanted. I find it extremely hard to believe Lawn men left due to noise.. Also maybe 2 parties of 10 shouldn’t have been sat so closely? This is a PUB with a large bar area. We left before 2p by 6p (Friday) the noise at the bar would greatly exceed our small gathering. If our waitress was more attentive to us (reservations) we could’ve been gone before the other large party arrived. I’m sure she had no clue she was serving 8 Customer Service Supervisors & 3 of their managers. She didn’t thank us or say bye after kicking us out. HORRIBLE SERVICE. You should be ashamed telling happy people to be quiet! We’ll gladly take our company events elsewhere. Our managers treated so I am sure it was a large bill. She didn’t...
