We've been to this store twice now looking for furniture. They have a decent stock of items and the prices are fair. The store, both times, has been an absolute hazard to maneuver around but that comes with the territory. During our first visit we were delighted to find some nice, cheap, blankets and they were running a sale! We waited in the hectic and congested checkout area, paid for our blankets, and left. Or so we thought. Upon hitting the door an alarm went off. The security tag had not been removed from the blanket. We forced our way back into the savings mosh pit so we could have the tag removed. Upon trying to leave again we were met with the same result. As the cashier checked for a different tag she realized that we, in fact, had 2 blankets and she had only charged us for one. Still a good price but becoming less of a steal by the second. We paid for the second blanket and got out of there. Yesterday we returned in hopes of having better luck in the furniture department. We found only 1 item we liked furniture wise and it was marked as sold. We made our way around the store trying to find a little something to make the trip feel worthwhile, picked out a few glasses, then made our way to the register. We stood in front of a cashier whom was standing at her register, folding clothes, and completely ignoring us. I don't expect instantaneous service but as a long time customer service worker I know a little "Be right with you" goes a long way. However, I was happy with our glasses and it was less crowded this day so it didn't effect my patience. She tallied up the cost of the 3 glasses and began to bag them as I fumbled with the credit card machine. After a while of awkward silence and staring she made me aware that I had inserted the chip wrong with a chuckle. I paid and turned to grab my bag of glasses. The cashier had stacked all 3 glasses inside of one another in one single grocery bag and handed them to me as if I was carrying out a can of Pringles. I very gingerly brought my stack of glass out to the car and placed the bag on the seat with both hands so I could remove them from the bag and pad them with something in my car. As I set the bag down I heard the sound of loose glass rattling around. One of our glasses had broken due to our expert packer. It so happened to be my favorite of the bunch. After a period of deliberation of if it was worthwhile to shove ourselves back into the tiny store to receive a refund for a $2 cup we decided to just leave. There was only one and the damage had already been done. It was worth my time to give up on the few dollars lost and continue on with our day. A good cashier can make all of the difference when it comes to a customers experience and this one cost this nice little shop a pair of would be...
Read morePrices of the clothes are ridiculously expensive for being used clothes. I have bought and shop there for over 15 years and the prices of the clothes now is incredible expensive. As an example there was a dress with the tjmaxx store prize tag for 14.99 and the prize that the dress had from their tag was 16.99 more expensive than the dress. I am not sure who is putting the prices. I tried to speak to two of the people who put the prices to see if there are any guidelines they used but they were extremely rude, the manager was completely rude she said “ I put the prices if you don’t like don’t shop here” I tried to tell her that people who buy there we/ are people that are in a budget and this store supposed to have more convenient prices. I am not asking them to give away their clothes but at least have some consideration and not take advantage of the prizes. There is no guidelines for them to put the prices, you can see that people who was putting the prices don’t care, they have no idea what they are doing and were extremely rude, Unprofessional and uneducated. They said I was the only customer who complains. I would to invite the supervisor to look at the prices, pieces of clothing that are falling apart are 10/20 dollars. I know they have color tags discounts days but that would be the only way to be able to buy that. I am talking for people who is less fortunate with their budget and trust that by going there they would be paying less, but they end up paying less. Like the manager yelled at me “I am the one who put the price if you don’t like it...
Read morePlace is a run down dump. Feel like you need a shower after you leave. This store mostly houses junk for high prices. Keeping in mind that they receive their things for free, then price those things very high. Also they write on all of the items and by doing so, potentially destroy or deface the items for resale. Very little in the way of picking up anything there to make a profit on later...as their prices are already maxed out. Example: just today I saw a pre-worn Tom Brady Patriots jersey priced there at $75. Lucky if it cost that much then. This store is not in check with reality, in the way that anything decent that they have, they price it like it's made of gold. Pricing is easily achievable by checking on ebay for finished results for things. Seems like the employees of this store price things by emotion. Rude employees the 4 times I've been there. Asked someone if they had paintings (as in framed artwork) and they were like, "Paintings?". I said, "Yeah, paintings, I don't know any other way to say it." Of course they had garbage you wouldn't pick off of the side of the road. Employees there come across as possibly clinically depressed or at least the vibe of them and the place gives off...
