Maricela's Day Spa — Local services in Lufkin

Really expensive for what it is. If you’re going to go for anything, go for the massage,10/10! Ask for Jen (I think that was her name?). I hate to be negative! I just did not feel the quality of the facial that I paid for was fantastic. My skin didn’t feel any different, and no one could/would explain what their treatments were, it almost felt too simple to be a facial. Again, hate to be negative, but it felt not worth the price and I could get the same result from a store mask. For reference, this is not my first facial I’ve had done before.

On professionalism, I felt that was lacked as well. They called several times to change plans with us, which was confusing. My mom was told by them she’d be able to get a facial (for her birthday!), but when we showed up, they said the woman doing facials was all booked and my mom wouldn’t be able to get one and couldn’t be accommodated (sorta glad she didn’t get the facial anyway, considering). No other accommodation or apology was offered for the inconvenience and my mom had to wait 2 hours while I got my stuff done. Reminder, this was her birthday.

Rated 2 stars because of the massage. -3 stars for everything else. Jen was educated and made me feel extremely comfortable! But I would not come back...

I bought my wife a whole day at the spa, which included a massage. Overall the day went well, except for the massage. My wife chose the "quiet" massage so she could just relax. The lady giving the massage proceeded to complain about everything for the entire time. She talked about how she hates Lufkin and the drivers don't know how to merge, especially the "straight, white, men drivers". She apparently thinks that southern accent makes people sound stupid so she tries really hard to get rid of hers? This went on for the entire time. Needless to say my wife was not impressed.

In what world would someone think this unprofessional and hateful behavior is acceptable at a day spa for relaxing. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and views but keep them to yourself when you're supposed to be in a professional environment.

I didn't want to post a review before trying to resolve the issue with the owner. I called to talk to her and was told that she was gone for the day and would get in contact with me. Two business days...

I made 2 appointments about 2 weeks ago for 2 Royal Spa Packages (massage, facial, mani and pedi) for my husband and myself. We arrived on time at 9 am and was in desperate need of all the services mentioned above. Idk exactly what happened nor do I care but my husband went back for a massage and I had to wait. This was also suppose to be a couples massage. I sat the ENTIRE TIME he was in his massage. They never once offered me even a water!! When his massage was done we left they were like don't you wanna do the facials? No we don't! We are done thank you. We drove an hour for these appts. We will never return. My husband who has cancer just wanted some down time for the both of us and we got screwed over. Full price had to be paid for the massage which was good per my husband. But ya'll not even a WATER! We will not be back. No discount for another day nothing. So incredibly...
