One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had while visiting. My wife and I were on vacation from California to visit Nashville. We both love Jack Daniels and we’re both super excited to tour the factor . After taking our tour, we decided to walk the down the street into the town of Lynchburg. I saw there was a Harley Davidson store and immediately wanted to go there. I am avid collector of Harley shirts. For the context of this story , my wife and I are people of color. I would like to also include that I am also a Navy Veteran. When we had walked into the store , we were not greeted at all or helped. Which I didn’t really mind , there were a few other people in the store and kind of busy. When I found the shirt that I wanted to purchase , I had ask the lady behind counter if a military discount was offered and was told yes. She proceeded to ask for my ID, which I really appreciated to verify that I was a veteran . I told her that is good thing to do because people will just they are a veteran to get discounts. She then replied “ Normally I don’t ask for an ID but with you I wanted to double check.” At the time , it didn’t register with me what had happened and didn’t realize till after I left. I had never felt so disrespected and less than in my entire life. This was totally unacceptable and my worst experience...
