I'll be honest, the principle reason they deserve 5 stars is because they are the best business I've gone to for ice cream. They are a small business, family-owned who decided to give the ice cream game a shot. You can tell they really care and are passionate individuals living their best life while supporting each other. Ultimately, I want to champion that and that is first and foremost why I recommend going here.
As to their ice cream, it met my standards - it was similar in texture and taste to what I'd expect at places like Molly Moon's. If it wasn't good, I would not have rated them 5 stars. They're new to the ice cream game. I appreciate that they're willing to try unique flavors, like spicy ice cream. I have no doubt that with time and the right support they could develop into some of the best ice cream in the greater Seattle Area. I have high hopes for them!
I know this review focuses more on the business and less on the product and for a five-star rating, people may want more insight into the ice cream, not the business's potential. In my opinion the ice cream changes, the business does not. If their ice cream isn't 5 stars one day I would still come back because I know they adapt and improve with time even when there are bumps...
Read moreI love discovering goods by people who are passionate about what they do. The ice cream was delicious, and the experience was all the more special because the creator was there and happy to chat about recipe development and ingredient choices. Every flavor we tried was wonderful. The surprise favorite was the Purple Potato with honey swirl. Soft texture, not creamy, as one would expect from natural ingredients. The Mint Chip was perfectly creamy and pleased both kids and adults. The Rasperry Sorbet tasted like freshly chilled berries (and it turned out they were from his mom's garden, can't get more local than that!). The portions were generous for Single, and even the Mini was a very satisfying portion for those of us who want to splurge but not overindulge. This is a family business, a 5-week old experiment served at the entrance to the family's Thai restaurant (get the name? Chilly Basil?). I hope they are successful - this was fun and good. Worth hunting out if you're in the...
Read moreTasted most flavors that were available, all were pleasant.
Milk - tasted rich and coated my mouth kinda like White Rabbit candy or heavy cream.
Coffee - chocolatey. Tasted like Kopiko candy in ice cream form. It had some chocolate chips in it as well that had a good crunch.
Salted Caramel - the saltiness and sweetness were just right. It may have been missing a crunch factor though.
Strawberry - tasted very fresh, but it was a little too sweet for my taste.
Fermented Mango - tasted this and then ordered a scoop to get a better taste. Haven't had fermented Mango before, so I was expecting a little kombucha-like flavor but didn't get that. It was a nice sorbet with a little...
