Im back!!! Dropped my phone currently have a temporary one but photo quality were ok. So im in Lynnwood today for Food truck Friday! And wanted to try ofcourse tacos but also small business food truck owners. I found it a little odd they had 4 star reviews so I had to try them. Unfortunately I wouldn't give them a 4 star tbh. For me they were ok, i see the photo and obviously birria tacos are very popular and this place they actually caldo/consume . You'll be surprised many dont and some dont even know what it is so i did get two birria and two vampiro. I feel the caldo could use more seasoning and flavor and the tortilla i felt they were drenched in oil and i feel that took away from the meat and the cooking. Obviously they are nothing like the ones ive had in Mexico still but it was a quick stop on my way back down to Seattle and had the opportunity to check them out. Service was good and the space is large enough to dine in and enjoy your meal with ease. The parking may be a little challenging if you arrive during rush hr so beware. Aside from that on to the next truck 🙂👊🌮

This was my second time visiting this Mexican food truck and I came back for the Tacos Vampiros. These are not easily found at all Mexican food trucks and the twist on a traditional taco for those not familiar is a layer of cheese in between the soft corn shells along with shredded beef. These are bursting with flavor and served with ample amounts of grilled and fresh onions and chopped cilantro along with both salsa verde and salsa roja each of which are flavorful and spicy although not quite as hot as some other trucks. This is a plus though because it allows you to enjoy the taste without being overwhelmed by the heat. If you don’t like spicy food, use caution of course. Service is basic. You order your food, you are given a pager, and a few minutes later your pager goes off and you pick up your food. I have read other complaints about rude service. Didn’t encounter this in either visit. Didn’t really have a conversation either. Pretty much order and pay but that is what I expect. $9 inclusive of tax for 3 vampiros.

I really like this place. If you're in a hurry, just know that they're not very fast. I've had the tacos vampiros (pictured) with a cup of consomé. This last trip I also got the standard birria tacos. $3 per taco isn't cheap, but they're substantial. Tacos vampiros have seasoned tortillas grilled with some sort of jack type cheese and stuffed with birria (slow braised shredded beef). You dip them in the consomé broth kind of like a taco french dip. The consomé heightens the flavor of the birria because it's basically the braising liquid they cook it in. The salsas are great as well.

This place was really expensive for not that great of tacos. Its nearby me so I was really hoping to love it because when I love a taco place, I go all the time. I ordered 2 tacos. One order was ahead of me. Over 20 minutes later I finally got my tacos. When the people prior to me finally got their food thry had to wait another 5 minutes for their drinks. Then there is the salsa. Yuck! I looooove salsa and I look for good salsas. The red salsa is just super vinegary and bland--which is saying something considering I love vinegar, but there was no spice, or texture. The green sauce was okay but I ended up having to put tabasco on my tacos in order to even finish them. And tabasco on tacos? No. But I didnt have many options in my car considering their salsa was 🤮 I wont be back and I know they dont care but I do because I really wanted at leaat decent tacos to be there but no. Really terrible tacos. And for the price and experience? Why return to try...
