We ate tonight at the Lynnwood pho than brothers restaurant, this is our second time giving this restaurant I try as the first time we went, we were unfortunately kicked out less than 30 minutes after getting our food because they were closing, and even though we had been there for 45 minutes and ordered our food, we were not allowed to finish our food and had to take it to go because they didn’t want to stay open till allow us to finish. I decided to give them another try tonight, and I am sad to say this is the absolute last time we will try them. Although their food is generous, in size and pretty tasty, the fact that we had to try on several attempts to get the attention of any worker to get a refill of water, was beyond ridiculous. I was unable to get the attention of the young man who was helping with seating people, and ringing people up, as he sat there on his phone versus scanning the dining room to make sure that no one needed anything. As I was so disturbed that he would sit there on his phone versus making sure that no one needed water or a refill of tea or anything unless the door chimed because someone was coming in. Please see picture attached for reference of him on his phone. It certainly should not take 30 minutes or more to get a refill of water. Realized I expect that when I go to a restaurant, if my drink, whether it be water or another drink that is refillable, that the wait staff would be the ones to notice and offer a refill without me needing to try way harder than needed to flag them down. Even after I had finished the refilled glass of water, I wanted more and decided I was not even going to attempt to get another refill because I knew it would probably take another 30 minutes. Will never go back here again as I felt disrespected...
Read moreI recently tried this Vietnamese pho shop, and while it has its highlights, there are also a few areas that could use improvement.
First, the big plus: the pho broth is really good—rich, flavorful, and has that authentic, slow-simmered taste that makes good pho stand out. It’s clear they put care into making the base, which made the meal enjoyable overall.
That said, the menu is pretty limited—mostly just different types of pho, with not much variety beyond that. I also noticed there’s no Vietnamese baguette (banh mi) available, which is a bit of a letdown since it’s such a classic Vietnamese staple to pair with pho. Another small inconvenience is that the shop doesn’t have a restroom, which can be tricky if you’re staying for a meal.
Overall, the pho itself is solid, but I hope they can expand the menu a bit—adding some Vietnamese snacks (like spring rolls, nem rán, or che) would make the experience even better. It’s a decent spot for a pho fix, but with a few tweaks, it...
Read moreThere are good days and bad days so I can't give it a 5 star. But usually it's a good day so that's why I'm not giving it a 3 star. I love Pho Than Brothers because it's so easy to order and quick to receive the food. If you're looking for the appetizers and sides or the usual none pho orders at vietnamese restaurants this is not the place for you! This place is for pho lovers who have their usual and want a quick pho craving fix. The portions are humongous and you get all your orders with a little bread that's stuffed with cream. I think some people eat it before their pho but most eat it after as a palette cleanser. (especially if you eat your pho super spicy like me!) The bad days are only bad when for some reason the broth is not as hot and it just tastes like an older batch. I still come by every so often and hope that...
