TL;DR: Astoria Pizza and Pasta delivers excellent pizza with a sublime crust, standout chicken garlic alfredo, and good service in a clean restaurant. A top-notch experience surpassing the competition.
Full Review: Astoria Pizza and Pasta stands out as a beacon of excellence in the realm of pizza dining. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere was inviting, with a clean and well-maintained restaurant setting the stage for a memorable meal.
We started with a good salad and great breadsticks, setting a promising tone for the main event: the pizza. Opting for the mushroom and green peppers, we were pleased with the fresh ingredients and balanced flavors. However, it was the chicken garlic alfredo pizza that truly stole the show. As a fan of alfredo sauce on pizza, this rendition exceeded expectations. The creamy alfredo sauce was rich and flavorful, generously adorned with chunky pieces of chicken that added a satisfying texture to each bite. The pizza crust, a highlight of any great pizza, was sublime—a perfect balance of crispy edges and soft, doughy center, reminiscent of a classic pan pizza crust.
Service at Astoria was commendable, with attentive staff ensuring our needs were met promptly and courteously. Their commitment to providing a pleasant dining experience was evident throughout our visit.
In comparison to larger pizza chains that tout "better ingredients, better pizza," Astoria Pizza and Pasta truly embodies this ethos. The quality of their ingredients shines through in every dish, from the fresh toppings to the flavorful sauces and impeccable crust.
Astoria Pizza and Pasta is a must-visit for pizza aficionados seeking an exceptional dining experience. With its delicious pizza offerings, standout chicken garlic alfredo, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere, it surpasses the competition and sets a high standard in the world of pizza restaurants. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Astoria promises a memorable meal that celebrates the art of pizza-making done right.

Read moreSo We called to reserved a party for my daughters very special 15th bday..they took the reservation and seemed totally fine…this restaurant was my late dads favorite…but sadly tonight This was the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER received FROM A person let alone WAITRESS. (Mind you we tipped over $100) and there were a total of ONE OTHER TABLES WITH PEOPLE IN THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT….during our time there…We’ve been going here for over 20 years and the food is now garbage.I. unfortunately the service is below garbage..and that’s extremely disappointing….I had to spit my only bite of extra chewy, stale crusted pizza flavored with some sort of tomato sauce that was Rancid, into my napkin because it was so gross. The cheese is extremely chewy without flavor and the sauce is old or something maybe even moldy but the flavor was atrocious…. Like not edible.... And we didn’t even complain because we were just trying to be nice …but With the rude glares & staff staring not even a smile in our direction and at one point she was shaking her head bc we asked to add a table… then stormed over and angrily moved the table.. a new level of bad service that makes you so uncomfortable that you will never set foot in there again and the food definitely doesn’t make me ever want to give this place a try again either because why in the world would I pay to get no service and then glared at While actually being a paying customer. I miss Astoria before the owners changed. This place is an actual nightmare and the food is worse then chucky cheese pizza, like bad. Bad. My friend cleaned the entire table, picked up all the dishes and the staff just stood and watched.. I mean it was bad bad. Let me save you money, time and disappointment.. just...
Read moreClassmates would often rave about the quality of the pizza. I definitely agree and I regret not going more often. For me pizza is all in the bread. Sauces can have lots of varieties and flavors but the quality of the crust is what makes the difference between ok pizza and great pizza.
They could serve me a naked pizza crust with no toppings and I'd devour it.
Needless to say the Pizza was phenomenal. We ordered a half meat lovers + half olive, green pepper, hot pepperoni and demolished it.
Tons of flavor packed into the toppings and cheese. Crust was golden, crisp, and fluffy. Sauce was delicious without tasting overly sugary. And though the bottom of the pizza box was a greasy the pizza itself wasn't oily.
I'm also not a huge fan of thin crust pizzas or pizzas that get so bogged down that the center is a flat oily bed of grease. So I was extremely happy to see the crust was thick and level across the whole pizza(except for the raise outer ring)
Easily the best pizza in the area by far. And the fact they've managed to keep it up (for the 20+ years?) is testament to their quality...
