Update: 10 months later and this "karen" is still harrasing me when i pick up packages. Only her asks me for my id when im holding my mail, phone with tracking info and gives description of box. I see people ahead of me and no I'd check. I will refuse to be served my her from now on. I don't need that kind of grief just for picking up my mail.
For the most part I have enjoyed the 6 years I have used this post office. I have maintained a friendly relationship with employees, am always happy to ask them how they are and wish them a good day. Recently it has gotten to the point I dread going in. The older woman (use to have long braid) is rude to the point I feel singled out and harassed. She acts put out to look up tracking on packages I know have arrived. Rolls her eyes has demeaning and belittling tone of voice, and is the only employee to demand photo ID to release my package. The others just confirm my last name before passing it to me wishing me a good day. There is no way to contact by phone as it stays busy. I shouldn't get anxiety and feel defensive just to pick up my mail. I have since asked others and have been told NONE of them have been asked to show ID before receiving mail and they all confirmed they have had negative experiences with one or more of the current staff. You...
Read moreI made an appointment to get my children's passport at 1015. I get there at 10am and am recieved by Michelle with the nastiest attitude. I ask for a passport application and she just looks at me, and says, " you need an application " in a way that made me feel like she did not want to give it to me. I fill everything out then I get back in line. Then the employees tell me their system is down and they cannot print money orders and I would have to.go to the bank. So I drive to San Antonio get cashiers checks, stop at office depot and print out copies of my ids.when I make it back to the post office the first thing Michelle says is we turned the passport machine off you can't do it today. I'm like your kidding me! They tell me they "assumed" I banked in Lytle and did not expect me to be long. The out of no where Michelle throws out.. " mam you dint have your application when you came in and you needed to have that ready" " your appointment was at 1015am and it's past that" . I got mad instantly. I took off work got my kids out of school had to drive around because their machines were not working and now you on PURPOSE not wanting to process my passport. This was the worst experience ever and this is the worst post office ever. Do...
Read moreI drove my family from Helotes to Lytle to get passports since the San Antonio locations could not accommodate us. We have never been through the process before and made many mistakes, including how we took our photos. The staff at the Lytle post office was kind, professional, patient and knowledgeable regarding the process and assisted us through it all. It’s not always the case that people are so helpful. I want to thank the two women who assisted us yesterday from the bottom of my heart. I think one was named Lacey and I don’t remember the other’s name but I hope they know they’re...
