I went into this Home Depot with what I considered a rather simple need for a new window. Granted, it's an old window and would need to be a custom job, which I learned Home Depot stopped doing. Unfortunately the journey to learning this and the customer service I received is the reason for this bad review. I went to the window department, and found a worker there, that didn't seem to be busy. I asked him if they do Custom Framing/glass cutting for window replacements. He looked at me as if I just spoke in a foreign language, and muttered half formed words, and pointed to another worker and told me to talk to him. I was a little confused by how unhelpful this interaction was, but decided to take his advice and waited in line to talk to who I assume was the Supervisor on duty in the window department. While waiting, I think to myself, "ok, maybe the first guy was a fluke, maybe he was lost and confused as to which department he was in... but now I seem to have found THE window expert. I mean, he has a desk... a line of people waiting to talk to him, glasses... SURELY I have found the Window Guru of home depot." I'm pulled out of my thoughts by the Guru himself, asking me "how can I help you?" Excitedly I say, "I'm wondering if you can do custom framing/glass cutting" The Window Lord pauses for a moment. Looking a little taken a back, he responds, "um no, we stopped doing that." This shakes me slightly, but I haven't lost hope. "I'm in home depot, THE supplier of all things needed to make a window..." I think to myself. "Oh ok, well, to be honest with you, I'm not really sure what I'm doing... I've never had to replace a window before. Do you have any suggestions as to how I should go about fixing this?" I ask earnestly. Supreme Window King responds absolutely, "No. I can't help you." This really throws a wrench in my plan to fix my window... I thought Home Depot with it's vast collection of fan blade options and bird house supplies would be fool proof for a job such as mine. With one last desperate attempt to receive a small exert of wisdom from this Translucent Titan, I say "Ok... so let's just say, YOU broke a window in your house by accident, and needed to make a new frame and get a new pane for it. What would you do?" To which the Window Wizard replies definitively, "I don't know. I can't help you." And ends the interaction with his eyes. What really blows me away is the complete lack of salesmanship and customer service. I left feeling more confused than I did coming in. That should never be how a customer feels after an interaction. It's obvious that this man wasn't a Guru or a Wizard, or Supreme in any form. This was just a man who somehow got placed in the window department after getting a part time job at home depot so that he could get discounts on the wood required to make his bird...
Read moreI typically do not post negative reviews of stores, but this has been an exceptional experience in my life. I began the process of ordering a door through this Home Depot in early September of 2024 and after several missed deadlines, reschedulings, and promises that were not kept, the door installation finally happened in mid-February of 2025. There was some level of ineptitude at every step of the process. This spans from the subcontractor, CFI Doors, scheduling the initial measuring of the door at my home (which had to happen twice because no one came to measure on the first appointment which I had taken work off for), to then sending those measurements to Home Depot (which took several weeks for Home Depot to get back to me where I overheard a worker say "someone should have called this guy with an update" as we were ending our call), to the ordering of the door in-store (which was quoted inaccurately due to them mis-reading the dimensions of the door and parts ordered that were not needed), to then scheduling the installation (which ended up happening over a month after from when they said the door would be ready), to then the process of getting partially refunded for Home Depot tacking on parts to the order that were not needed for the door installation. The refund process was the most comical part of the experience, as I was called two months after the door was installed (April 2025) to say the refund was ready. Home Depot required me to come onsite to receive the refund in-person, to which their IT system could not physically process it. The store associate told me they would be submitting an IT ticket to their team to push the refund through and that I should come back another time. A full week later, I come back to the store to process the refund again, and the same exact thing happens again. How does it take the IT team an entire week to process an individual ticket? I was told I should call back in 24 hours to get an update of the status of the second ticket. They also said that I could skip the refund through my credit card and have them mail me a check by giving them my license number over the phone, but I obviously do not have any confidence that the check would arrive or that anything would happen at all.
The individual door installer, Jason, from CFI Doors did a great job and I'm very satisfied with how it looks. However, in no way was this process worth the cost and certainly not worth the time investment. If you value your time and sanity, I would recommend any other home improvement store for door installation or even doing...
Read more*DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES * I purchased a washing machine 1/27/24 to have delivered 2/1/24. The machine was delivered with a huge dent in the side of it. I was told by the delivery driver that they will send me another machine to replace this one since it's damaged and someone from Home Depot will call me to set up a new day. No one called, so I had to call them to complain to get a new date, so it was set a week out 2/9th again no call on delivery time frame I had to call and get a time frame. The new machine arrives again and this one has a dent in the front. So I turned this machine away because who wants to pay for a brand new machine that's damaged. Again no one calls me I had to call home depot and complain to get answers, the rep said that a new machine will be delivered on 2/16th and I had to wait for the delivery company to call me with the time frame of course no one called so I had to call them to see what time frame will they deliver the machine and this time the rep said they didn't have to be delivered but canceled I explained to him no I was to be getting a replacement for the damaged machine. The rep looks into it and then comes back and says his mistake it was set to have a new machine delivered, but it's on back order and set to come 2/21st. So for obvious reasons I asked for some sort of compensation for this inconvenience he said they are allowed to compensate up to $200 and that I definitely qualified to get the full $200 due to the circumstances. The rep said that after the new machine arrives with no issues, call back to receive a refund. So today 2/21st I finally received my washing machine without damage, and deliveryguys stayed to make sure everything worked properly. So I call Home Depot to receive my credit and to my surprise the rep is telling me that my account is only noted for 5% credit on 2/1st but he can give me 10%, of course this is unacceptable so after I had to express how unhappy I was with Home Depot and this whole process and customer service the rep was "spoke to his supervisor" and I was able to receive the credit of $200 which I was told I would receive and to be honest definitely deserved. WILL NOT BE A...
