The “depression-knot” has been real, y’all, and this one magical day when I needed it the most, the universe connected us. I hadn’t had an actual professional haircut since before moving to Madison in 2017, and her message convinced me to be kind to myself, and to treat myself. And for many reasons, I am so glad I did. It was all kismet. . Her introduction of Children with Hair Loss was beautiful, and they will always be my hair donation recommendation; they are a non-profit organization that gives children a free wig every year, and their length and treated-hair requirements are much more open than other hair-donation entities. Their mission: “Covering young heads to heal young hearts”. 💕 . Her work is perfection, her vibe is eclectic, inclusive, and simply the best, and everyone should have her as their hairstylist - except for when I want to book an appointment! 😜 . Also, I have a new favorite (and probably forever favorite) line of hair products: REF from Sweden. Light, fresh, calming feel and scent, and simple, natural ingredients that work better than anything else I’ve tried in the past, be it spray wax (yeah - like wax pomade but in a spray 😲), smooth cream, shampoo or conditioner (and many, many more), they’re all choice. 😘 and don’t break the bank. .
