Went here with high hopes. We were starving! Place was empty besides a child running around. Menu was very small. Ended up with 2 beef empanadas that had just been baked. My boyfriend asked for dipping sauce as was told that the sauce is inside. Well, not really. He said they might be better with hot sauce. I did like mine. I ordered rice and beans. They aren’t your typical rice and beans. They had no taste and didn’t even look appetizing. They had 2 sauces with the rice but neither one had much flavor. My boyfriend got Okra soup with fufu. After 2 bites that looked like snot dripping from a spoon, he couldn’t eat anymore. Taste was very bland. Fufu is fufu, not much to say about it. We had watermelon and ginger juice and also pineapple with ginger. The juices were non existent. Tasted like water with a mega amount if ginger. I would love this place to succeed and bring more complex flavors to the city. However, the prices are too high for the amount of the food. There are maybe 6 to 7 pieces of meat in a 20 dollar dish. I also expected more flavors. The banku and okra dish has a unique fishy flavor, combined with okra stickiness and a fermented fufu that most general public wouldn't find appealing. The fufu and the goat/beef soup tasted average, the pie was rather blend. And as another reviewer mentioned, the food seems to be cooked somewhere else and only luke warm in the container.

For this place to succeed financially, the owner should consider lower prices or increase portions, localized a couple of dishes at cheaper prices to...

I got the Red snapper fish with Jollof rice & fufu w/ beef soup. The customer service was good the young lady at the counter was nice and friendly. The Red snapper fish was good but I probably would only get that now and then because it is lots of bones and I am too greedy for that lol the jollof rice was kind of dry, the consistency of the fufu wasn't as thick as I'm used to it tasted kind of watery to me and the soup was bland. I can definitely agree I would love for this place to succeed but the price was also too high for the food for me for the quantity as well...
