Best Buy Review: Frustrating Service in Two Locations
My experiences with Best Buy in both Washington and Madison, Mississippi, have been consistently disappointing. The issues seem systemic rather than isolated incidents, making it clear that poor customer service is a recurring problem.
Long Waits, Minimal Staff, and Poor Service
At both locations, the most glaring issue is the lack of available staff to assist customers. The stores are often packed with people waiting for help, yet only one employee appears to be working the floor. This leads to long lines, excessive wait times, and an overall frustrating experience for anyone who needs assistance.
Customers are left wandering the aisles, searching for someone to help, only to realize that there’s either no one available or employees are too busy to acknowledge them. It’s as if Best Buy operates under the assumption that customers will figure everything out on their own—except that, unlike an online store, you’re standing in a physical location where service should be expected.
Two-Week Waits for Orders
Another persistent issue is the ridiculously long wait times for orders. Regardless of the location, any item that isn’t immediately in stock seems to take at least two weeks to arrive. This delay defeats the purpose of shopping at a physical store, where customers expect convenience and quicker access to products. Why bother going to Best Buy at all when ordering online from another retailer is faster?
Lack of Accountability and Customer Care
When asking employees about the delays or the lack of help, the responses are often dismissive. There’s no sense of urgency, no attempt to resolve issues, and certainly no customer-first mentality. Instead, it feels like the company is simply going through the motions—collecting sales without putting in the effort to provide decent service.
Final Thoughts
At this point, I have little reason to continue shopping at Best Buy. With the rise of online retailers offering faster shipping, better customer support, and more efficient service, there’s no incentive to deal with Best Buy’s lack of staff, long waits, and frustrating delays. Until the company prioritizes customer experience and staffing, I cannot recommend shopping at Best Buy—whether in Washington, Mississippi, or...
Read moreWe JUST pulled of from picking up and order and making an in store purchase. The two young gentlemen on the floor that assisted us were VERY pleasant and helpful. The two seasoned women at the counter were very uninviting. When I first went in I picked up my order. I told her what I needed having to repeat myself with her having a look as if I interrupted her conversation with her coworkers. I showed her my phone with the barcode and she just began typing on the computer with no interest in me as the customer. I’m shorter, she got retrieved my items, gave them to me and I had to tell her “Thank you” . When I shopped on the floor and returned to their counter, another woman asked how she help And I told her I wanted to check out the item she also asked me to repeat myself and I did and she just quickly pointed saying you check out over there this is customer service. So I went to the register next to her where I picked my order and she said “ma’am not right there you need to check out over there” and I looked wondering , where is over there?” so when I had a scavenger hunt for the next register , that young lady was extremely kind, extremely helpful and need to be training the other two. I did not ask for the manager because I knew it would be useless Reasoning that if the manager cared they wouldn’t be standing around talking and sitting making it laborious for the customer’s shopping experience, which is why I am taking my time to write this review. This is only my second review in all the years I have used Google but I just found that experience totally unacceptable along with frustrating that I had to wait in line to check out even though I was the second person in line but could have been checked out and gone in the time I waited, while they stood around, laughing and talking doing NOTHING. If it were not for the two gentlemen on the floor and the young lady that checked me out I would drive three times the miles to shop at a different Best Buy before coming back...

My recent experience with Best Buy Madison was absolutely stellar, and I can't recommend them enough – especially if you're looking for a reliable and efficient tech shopping experience.
My trusty Fitbit Sense 2 was on its last legs, and I desperately needed a replacement health and fitness wearable. After extensive research (shout out to The Quantified Scientist for the deep dives!), I decided on the Pixel Watch 3. As an Android user, its comparable HR tracking accuracy to the Apple Watch and the ability to retain all my historical data were huge selling points.
Initially, I tried to purchase the Pixel Watch 3 from Best Buy Flowood. Unfortunately, despite their website indicating availability, the device wasn't actually in stock when I or my family member went to pick it up. It seemed like there was an issue with their inventory notification system, which was quite frustrating when I was in a hurry for a new device.
However, Best Buy Madison completely redeemed the situation! I quickly placed an order with them, and to my delight, the Pixel Watch 3 was available for pickup within five minutes. My family member was able to pick it up without a hitch, making the whole process incredibly smooth and stress-free.
If you're in the market for electronics and want a Best Buy that consistently delivers on its promises, do yourself a favor and skip Flowood and head straight to Madison. Their accurate inventory, speedy service, and overall efficiency made my purchase a breeze. Best Buy Madison has definitely earned my...
